Anything 96 that isn't Berlin. Randall's 2 would be great but too long for vault and I want full show
I think it is fair to assume at this stage, that any show pre 2000 is very likely to have missing parts due to tape flip issues, malfunctions etc

I don't think it's fair to assume that. They've released several complete shows pre 2000 already
Basically, Brett Eliason has already confirmed this that prior to the 2000 bootleg series, they have gaps in a lot of shows, as has Vault 7, Vault 4, and the inclusions in the boxsets.

Full shows are great, but I have like 300 something, and could have I guess 400 plus, I lost count of how many official live releases there are.  I want history from the Vault at this point, even if it has some warts.
That's fair. My point with randall's 2 was more that it is so long they'd need to extend it to 4 LPs at least even with some tape issues.
It probably would not fit the 3 LP format, but I am willing to bet that large chunks of that show are missing.  I also wonder if they even have a multi-track of it at all.  Randall's was not exactly a state of the art venue.  They likely had to supply much of their own power.

I really, really wish they somehow figured out how to give us a 2007 tour bootleg.  London, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen or Nijmegen would be a tremendous release.
2006: London Astoria, Lisbon I & II, Paris, Verona, Milano
    2007: Wembley, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Nijmegen
    2009: Manchester
    2010: Belfast, Berlin

Beyond the novelty, I imagine the audio on that is not really conducive for a even a good listening experience digitally, let alone vinyl.  If they were ever to go deeper into the very early vault I would imagine they might consider unleashing all the Mookie demo properly balanced and eq'd given they did put out Breath and Just a Girl.

Cannot argue. That is a great set and the audience recordings are pretty solid and show the band in excellent form.

Noooooooo! .... Many people want (need, lol) the full collection of Vaults but can't afford them that often. Especially when shipping outside of the US costs $40 USD extra.

If only they shipped it for $4.50 US like 10club charged us for Vault 3 vinyl postage to Canada.

Time to get this one all back and going, because Thursday in January.

I will support any and all shows from the 1993 through 1998 era being considered.

My preference for 1998 at this point would be either 9.3 Birmingham (while there is a great audience recording already, it would be fantastic to have this absolutely underappreciated show on vinyl.  One of the best of the tour by far)  or MSG 2.

Can definitely get behind 11.21.96 - though would love to see them be cognizant of what shows there are great aud tapes of and dig deeper, but again, this would be a stellar representation of that tour.

While I hope they do a No Code tour show next, I'd like for them to consider shows from 91-92. Even if they had to do two shows for each package since the setlists were so short back then.

And of course anything from the 04 VFC or Europe 07 tour.

This would be a fun one too:
11/12/97 – The Catalyst: Santa Cruz, CA [76m]
    attendance: 800
    support act: Odd Numbers
set: Sometimes, I Got Shit, Corduroy, Hail Hail, Dissident, Even Flow, Brain of J, Given to Fly, Wish List, Off He Goes, Last Exit, State of Love and Trust, Do The Evolution
enc: (Ed phones Neil Young on a cellphone and has the crowd sing him happy birthday) Immortality, Once, Alive
notes: PJ plays a “surprise” warm-up show, billed as the “Honking Seals.” Ed stops “Sometimes,” saying “Such a nice song; I want to be able to hear it” and it is picked up where left off. New songs (verified from the setlist at the soundboard) are ‘Brain of J,’ ‘Given to Fly,’ ‘Wish List’ and ‘Do the Evolution.’ This show features a really pretty version of ‘I Got Shit’ and Ed is screaming during parts of ‘Corduroy,’ pausing at the end to ask, “How ya been?” ‘Last Exit’ ends with Ed commenting, “OK, humanoids. This is your first chance to do the evolution, but first we’re gonna play ‘State of Love and Trust.’ Returning for the encore, Stone says, “Thanks a lot, that’s very nice.” Ed encourages the crowd to be quiet so he can phone Neil and do the birthday thing. The crowd is mellow and respectful but very psyched.

I used to love this boot as well, the version of patriots was sick.
    09/26/96 – Civic Center: Augusta, ME [115m]
    support act: The Fastbacks
soundcheck: Off He Goes, Garden (several versions), Present Tense, Better Man/Save it for Later jam, I Can’t Explain, Let My Love Open the Door, Last Exit
set: Sometimes, Hail Hail, Animal, Spin the Black Circle, Tremor Christ, In My Tree, Lukin, Not for You, Better Man/(Save it for Later), Corduroy, Jeremy, Red Mosquito, State of Love and Trust, Black, Habit, Rearviewmirror, Alive
enc 1: Who You Are, Even Flow, Daughter/(Noise of Carpet), Blood/(Fame), Leaving Here
    enc 2: Patriot
notes: The English Beat’s ‘Save it for Later’ snippet tossed into ‘Better Man’ sound great! Ed pays homage to Josh Ling during a quiet part of ‘State:’ “I recognize you. You were in the front row just the other night. I recognize you … how you doin’?” In a reference to the lunar eclipse, Ed says, “It’s happening right now. I just wanna rip the roof off this place.” He get the crowd to yell three times, laughs and launches into ‘Habit.’ ‘RVM’ features the slow beginning. Toward the end of ‘Alive,’ Dennis Rodman takes the stage and where Ed completes the song. Prior to the ‘Noise of Carpet’ outro, Ed utters the words, “black red yellow.” After ‘Blood,’ Ed retrieves a shirt tossed onstage, saying “Hey look, plaid, grunge; it’s purple.” The Fastbacks help PJ with ‘Leaving Here,’ singing backup vocals and Ed expressing hope that the “boys up front will pay attention to the lyrics.” ‘Patriot’ is performed solo by Ed, accompanying himself on guitar with the rest of the band watching from the side of the stage.

    choice #3:
    05/13/93 – Slim’s Cafe: San Francisco, CA [110m]
    attendance: 900
soundcheck: Daughter instrumental, Why Go, Blood instrumental, Rats and Release guitar warm-ups, Animal instrumental, Animal, Dissident
set: Animal, Go, Even Flow, Blood, Daughter, W.M.A., Dissident, Why Go, Alive, Hard to Imagine, Rearviewmirror, Better Man, Dirty Frank/Rats, Baba O’Riley, Once, Jeremy, (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun)/Porch/(Tearing), Release, Alone, (Dirty Deeds)/Whipping, Leash, Sonic Reducer
notes: This was a secret show was a benefit to assist in legal support for a member of the Surfrider Foundation. PJ is billed as the “David J. Gunn Band” and most of Vs. (plus ‘Better Man’ and ‘Whipping’) premier as they have just completed recording the new album. The band even asks for requests at this show. Ed jokes around: “We’re accepting any donations of acid that you may have. Just put it in a little envelope with your name on it … and if we write a great song while we’re on it, we’ll put your name in the credits.” A guitar riff from Van Halen’s ‘Eruption’ is played between ‘Why Go’ and ‘Alive.’ ‘Alive’ is dedicated to Ed’s uncle, Freddy Vedder. The transition from ‘Dirty Frank’ to ‘Rats’ is very cool sounding.A bit of AC/DC’s ‘Dirty Deeds’ is played.

I think the reality with 1991 and 1992 is that they do not have many, if any multi-tracks from that era.  I don't get the sense that they just want to run a board tape onto vinyl that can't be properly mixed.

Why does 10c not use media mail? I can ship a vault for about $3 using media mail.
I shipped several pieces of vinyl about a year ago getting ready for the summer tour. Only once did I have the mail man give me a little crap and question what was in it, I'm guessing a lot of people try to ship media mail when it doesn't qualify. I never shipped vinyl before and was shocked how cheap it was, not it doesn't make sense to ever pay more than a few bucks.

Totally agree with the early suggestions of following the DMB model.

For a likely Vault9 release, I think MSG2 98 is a great candidate... Fabled, varied and 'potentially' sonically impressive. It would align with some of the other vault choices, plus it might re-boost the Vault excitement from this last offering. I think a large majority of members would love to see the Vault treatment of that show.

For wishful thinking, I stand in solidarity with the other Vitalogy/No Code era lovers.

Because of the limited run, pressing process and retail price for members, I hope their main priority is "quality" above all else. And if that is their strive, then they will continue to refrain from the weaker, partial and gapped recordings. Which unfortunately, like PB has revealed, limits their choice of the pre-2000 shows. With that in mind I would like to see them resurrect the "Live on X Legs" series. Vinyl set selected from Aus 98, Asia 95, Euro 96, US 03, Can 05, etc.
