    Yeah, how many people do you know that lost a job to an illegal immigrant?  I mean, you have to be pretty far down the social ladder for that to happen.  
    I do not know of anyone.  I live in a rural area, we have tons of greenhouses as well as other agriculture.  This would not be possible without migrant Mexican workers.  We also get a lot of Jamaican migrant workers as well.  The money many of these migrant workers earn is spent here locally.  They do not just make the money and send it home, they buy hard to get items and send that home.  However, I will always maintain that it is better if we could somehow improve those countries economies, so people do not feel the need to leave.  I'll never be able to relate to many immigrants, simply because I have never felt the need to leave Canada...I gripe about politics in Canada, but I am very thankful that because of Canada I am living how I want to live.

    Sounds like you are talking about legal migrant workers in any case.
    I'm sure there are illegals in there.  I do not think these migrants in the caravan intend on being illegal, they plan on applying for asylum...

    Yeah, well that's the think, right? So many people are acting like those who aren't against the caravan want them all to just run over the border and that's that, while in fact all we want is for them to be entered into the system just like everyone before them who entered into the system. It's such a bullshit narrative, I just can't believe people are falling for it! Even my own mother and father fell for this crap, which disappointed me but didn't surprise me. I mean, how do these folks think this caravan is going to "sneak" across the border and get in without entering the system anyhow?? It's not like people don't know where they are. Why is THIS group of people being vilified this way?? They are the last ones who seem to deserve such a reaction. The ones who Trump and anyone else worried about illegal immigrants/undocumented asylum seekers should be talking about are the people who run across the border alone or in small groups and try to disappear into the population. That isn't what the caravan intends to do FFS, and that isn't what ANYONE who stands up for asylum seekers and refugees and immigrants support as far as I know. That's just what Trump and his minions wants people to think, for obvious reasons. Man, it just frustrates me so much that it's working.

    i haven't seen anyone here say they are upset about illegals getting deported i brought back this thread because of the children that were being taken from immigrant parents that i'm upset about fucking kids getting kidnapped from their parents !

    I guess it depends if we are talking about federal or municipal.  I think there are few places where undocumented immigrants are allowed to vote, but US code is crystal clear about the illegality of this.  I have never personally heard of any lawmaker of any importance support a change to that.
