You know, I actually admire the way you stand your ground and fight for your opinions in these threads despite being so outnumbered. But come on, man. Obviously he's saying that you can't defend Trump who constantly lies and then get on Warren's case for this lie.
That would require having at least one foot in reality. Ain’t happening.

People age differently.  I know or know of people well into there 70's who are sharp, smart as a tack and graced by years of wisdom.

    Some examples:

Wendell Berry:  A well known and respected long time bookseller recently told me, "Wendell Berry [who is 84 years old] is the greatest living writer in America today.  Berry is still producing fine works.

John Muir: Muir was still doing great writing into his 70's

Judi Dench: still doing great work at 83

I know this very well, Brian. But I'm not taking that chance with the leader of the free world, especially when the 25th Amendment was apparently just written for shits and giggles.

I'm just ageist when it comes down to something like this. I own it. I think it's pragmatic more than anything.
Well... it's just ageist. I'm sure sexists think they're being pragmatic too.
Ignoring you once again (or trying to anyway) tagging anything I've written with sexism--apparently, I'm not communicating well, so I'll stop after this--but I'll just ask, where's our dreamy, cool-sock-wearing young-ish person who would have a chance on the presidential ticket (for either party)?

So far, I've heard Trump, Warren, Biden, even Sanders. Holy shit! will those last two even be alive in 2020?

Is Kamala considering? Booker? Hickenlooper? Klobuchar? Cuomo?

Would anyone dare primary Trump? Haley? Sasse? Walker? Flake? Baker? McMaster?

Just about everything you’ve read on the Warren DNA test is wrong

Reporters and politicians rushed to say the test shows she was only 1/1024th Native American. But that's a huge misinterpretation of the data.

Just read the article, man I can see why we can never get anything done.  It's amazing that you can get 10 different answers from the same test and nothing is conclusive...  Makes me wonder how people actually get committed from DNA testing for crimes.
Identifying someone based on DNA is infinitely more accurate than trying to identify exactly how far back heritage goes. Your DNA is yours, more unique than a fingerprint.
But since each parent does not donate exactly half their DNA and is more or less random, its impossible to tell from DNA exactly how far back your heritage goes. You can get a statistical range, if you are 5% Jewish it is unlikely either parent was full Jewish, and also unlikely that it went back more than 5 or 6 generations. That's why they gave a range, based on amount.  I think the estimate was 6-10 generations for Warren. That was based on how much Native American DNA was found and the acceptable range that it would take to dilute down to her levels.

Wow. I have never once thought you're sexist, so I have no clue where you're getting that from. If I do happen to be referencing sexism in reply to your posts a lot, it's not deliberate or targeted in any way, and I'm truly not aware of it ... If that's how it's turning out, well, maybe shit you say warrants it, one way or another?
But in any case, I don't know what you mean by "tagging". I used the comparison because I thought it was apt.
Anyway, I'm not sure how you'd like someone to respond to openly ageist posts. Don't get me wrong, some old people totally aren't fit for office, but if they actually make it far enough to be nominated, it's certainly not because they don't have all their faculties (normally - Trump is the exception to every rule). I think some old people aren't fit for the position just because their views are way outdated because they aren't the type of person who can absorb new ideas and concepts. They can't move with the times. But other older people can do that perfectly well, so it's not their actual age that I'm focusing on. It's the ability to be open to new things and ideas.

I'm just against unstable, childish idiots running for president. Age is all relative. By all accounts, Trump should be dead based on his lifestyle. The only reason he isn't is because he has money.

A completely different situation scientifically. Matching DNA from a crime scene to DNA from a suspect is far, far more precise than all the variables of trying to look at multiple different genes that may or may not be more or less associated with different ethnic groups.

Given the alternatives we have so far, I would take EW as president WAY (that's "way" in massive sized font) more than what we have going now.  I've never really heard much if anything negative about her and now all of the sudden all these disparaging comments coming out of the woodwork.  Fickle Fucking America.

Age is a factor because health is a factor.  It's a tough job.  Not saying an older person cannot do it and do it well....deal with the stress.  But look at how much it aged recent presidents Obama, W, Clinton.  It's a grind.  So age is certainly a concern as it plays into health and capacity.  Not the only factor however.

Age also comes into play as PJSoul mentioned due to willingness for new ideas.  Again, being older doesn;t mean you can;t be open to new ideas....but it certainly means if you are, you are part of a minority.

I would think the perfect age for a president in late 40's or early to mid 50's.  Time for experience and knowledge, but young enough for grind and open to new idea.  All that said, everyone is different so you can;t only go off of age.  I'd still vote for the 75 year old that I think has better ideas over a 48 year old in perfect health. ;)

As they should be but they are missing the actual torpedo that hit North Dakota tribes being able to vote that’s what they should be up in arms about ! GOP has actually made it almost impossible for native Americans to vote in the state !
