    I agree.  I can see how some might see it as “distasteful” on a artistic personal preference level, but otherwise I believe it falls under the 1st Amendment rights category.  But I also agree with your previous comment about the outrage by thin skinned individuals if the tables were turned.  It’s just a fucking politically inspired concert poster at the end of the day, not a call for violence or threat or anything that would take it out of the realm of 1st Amendment protected rights.  
    It most likely wouldn’t be one that I would hang on my wall due to the political nature (I prefer to display more light hearted artwork in my house), but could see it being a cool “signs of the times” piece of artwork in the future.

    I disagree. A conservative rock bands poster with a zombie Obama wouldn’t have elevated to the media circuit like this poster. Therefore there would be less of a reaction. Conservatives like to play victim, both a victim of liberals and liberal artists/hollywood. Right wing media picks up on all of this quickly and feeds the mentality.

    I agree, it almost seems as though people are desperate to find something to be offended by these days and the media LOVES playing off of it.  I’m sure Rachel Maddow and her followers would be the first to launch.  But again, from either side of the spectrum, it’s ridiculous to be “outraged” over this.  We’ll probably get a chance to see as I can totally picture imitation posters being made with any number of Democrats being portrayed as some sort of “revenge” for this poster since it has been so trending.

    Now that I had a long look at the poster in person, I think it would have been much better (sorry if this was already suggested) if instead of the vote in the blue sky, a giant blue wave about to crash over the WH was depicted. It would signify the impending blue waves of 2018 and 2020 putting out the WH fire and 5 deferment Don along with it. Vote could have been scribed at the top of the wave and Big Pharma Jon could have been riding it to victory.
    I hope JA didn't spend too much thought on his version, either way he could incorporate my expressions and have a second release. Permission granted.

    i just find it funny that conservatives get made fun of for being offended for something like this, but if the shoe was on the other foot there’s probably be marches and boycotts over it.
    I also think it’s very understandable to be upset that a current president is depicted as dead with a bird eating him. Also why I don’t get the poking fun at them.
    Having racist undertones isn't comparable. There is nothing racist about this poster. And yeah, as mentioned, Trump DESERVES this kind of reaction. He's created it himself. I think it's pretty crazy for conservatives to think that Trump is going to get away with what he does without any kind of backlash, including through artistic expression.
    That was basically my point. No one mentioned racism, I just said I find it funny that many are making fun of those who are offended, when I know for a fact there would be even more outrage if this poster came out a few years ago depicting Obama.

    Why are conservatives “snowflakes” for getting offended, but it’s okay to accuse anyone who doesn’t like obama as a racist?
    I think the poster is sort of ugly, but the symbolism doesn’t bother me. I’d buy it if it actually said “Pearl Jam” anywhere one it and I was there.
    I just find the difference funny. All the lashing towards anyone who is offended, but imagine a poster made of Hilary? Facebook would crash from all the responses and protests over it. I have no doubt the hysteria would be 10 times what it is if this depicted anyone on the left, so let’s just stop poking fun at everyone who doesn’t like it. Or not, because it’s actually amusing to me when they do.
    Really where was the outrage when the racist pigs were hanging Obama in effigy or when idiot in chief had Nugent as his guest at the WH even after he referred to 1st lady Obama as a monkey ? No the hypocrisy is evident ..

    I haven't really seen what I call outside, outside of comments on Fox. Maybe some think it is in poor taste, but that isn't the same as outrage.  Didn't even Tester say it was poor taste, so I think that is a reasonable reaction.
    Ignore some Fox broadcasters and there isn't much outrage that I've seen.

    I have had to set a few friends in place over the poster.  A couple were just busting balls and others were really giving me the biz.  I just said Trumps tweets don’t register to me why would something like this bother me?  It is art.  I also reminded a couple Metallica fans their members were pretty liberal so pump the brakes on all the hate.
