Now that I had a long look at the poster in person, I think it would have been much better (sorry if this was already suggested) if instead of the vote in the blue sky, a giant blue wave about to crash over the WH was depicted. It would signify the impending blue waves of 2018 and 2020 putting out the WH fire and 5 deferment Don along with it. Vote could have been scribed at the top of the wave and Big Pharma Jon could have been riding it to victory.
I hope JA didn't spend too much thought on his version, either way he could incorporate my expressions and have a second release. Permission granted.

Isn’t it nice and easy to be so condescending from a distance? I’d love to establish a video chat group on here to discuss politics. Maybe then there’d be some semblance of respect in place of mockery.

I haven't really seen what I call outside, outside of comments on Fox. Maybe some think it is in poor taste, but that isn't the same as outrage.  Didn't even Tester say it was poor taste, so I think that is a reasonable reaction.
Ignore some Fox broadcasters and there isn't much outrage that I've seen.

How in the fuck is this poster bigger news than that?
Or the oddities surrounding the New Mexico kid training compound?
    Already has been razed.
A bit odd given a 3 year old was found dead on site, no? Pre teens were armed with automatic weapons, allegedly.
Has David Hogg had any comment on the school shooting training site?
  • I have had to set a few friends in place over the poster.  A couple were just busting balls and others were really giving me the biz.  I just said Trumps tweets don’t register to me why would something like this bother me?  It is art.  I also reminded a couple Metallica fans their members were pretty liberal so pump the brakes on all the hate.

Trump's tweets do not compare with art in any way shape or form.

They are the authentic utterings of a president and more often than not they are disturbing and hardly 'presidential'. If you are okay with how he conducts himself in the public eye... you should probably do a bit of soul searching.

I think you are trying to make nothing into something with my reply.  Social media doesn't impact or influence my life.  I don't have twitter, instagram, etc.  I don't like that 45 tweets the crap he does but I live my life very differently than you do.  I sense you are easily swayed, impacted, emotional, etc. over social media stuff.  I don't give two fucks.  We are different.   I have no reason to 'soul search' to be more like you.  In fact, I guarantee I am waaaaaay happier than you living my life the way I do.  Perhaps you should take a lesson from me and craft a happier life not connected to people who don't give a squirt if you are alive or dead on social media.

I've seen some of that. I just dont think that equates to the amount of outrage many are claiming they see.
Yeah, I've seen a couple news reports outraged over it (but only when I go out of my way and search for it, haven't seen any just watching evening news) and some comments online in response to articles about the poster.
But I have yet to know anyone in person who is actually upset over it. Not one.
I just think by the way us snowflakes are being described and mocked at how easily we are offended, I'd at least know some in real life that exist. But I don't know a single one.
I think the outrage is just in the media and no where else.

Tester's opponent moved to Montana from Maryland sometime in the early 2000s.  I don't think the locals would like a transplant as their senior regardless of a poster.

Which is why on the poster, he has a crab claw hand and is waving a Maryland flag. So you can relate to the poster?

Yes, because I know him personally.
Read what I said. Other than the media, does anyone actually know anyone who is "outraged"?
    I don't.
I didn't say it doesn't exist, but that it is just over-hyped.
But apparently I'm wrong since you can point to one politician who is. And a guy who was actually in the poster too, so no wonder he was offended. Yeah, that counts, I'm wrong and everyone is outraged.

No because you don't, outrage must not exist. And apparently I'm wrong because you haven't personally experienced it. Which is where you argue from on almost every point. If you don't personally experience it, its not significant, it doesn't matter or you're dismissive of the argument being made. We had two posters on here, while not claiming outrage, sure as hell acted like it was the worst thing they've ever encountered. Read the comments section on right leaning news sites. See the Faux news story. Read the comments made by repubes. It all reads like outrage to me.

So the answer to my question of "do you personally know anyone outraged?" would be a "no" then, right?
I'm not sure what your beef is, but you seem to attack anyone who has a different opinion than yours.
I asked an honest question, made a fair point that others have already pointed out in other forums. This outrage seems to only be on the media or social media. PJ basically said the same thing and made a comment that she hasnt heard of it anywhere else or at work. If this level of outrage really existed, I would think it would come up. Its a fair question, who knows people who are actually outraged.
You decide to turn that into an insult and attempt to belittle every comment I make. I have no idea where this comes from. But I've made the decision not to reply to you unless it was a direct comment towards me. Maybe its time for you to do the same.

Getting ready to fly to Chicago, peace everyone.

Are you arguing that a red state that opposed Obama by 66,000 votes, 80,000 if you count the other candidates and Hillary by 101,000 or 139,00 if you count the other candidates, wouldn't elect a repube senator because he wasn't born and raised in the state and has only lived there for 15 or 16 years? That's crazy talk.

Speaks volumes that they didn’t show the poster itself. There’s so much wrong in one place in that link.

    Can we define "outrage"?
I haven't really seen what I call outside, outside of comments on Fox. Maybe some think it is in poor taste, but that isn't the same as outrage.  Didn't even Tester say it was poor taste, so I think that is a reasonable reaction.
Ignore some Fox broadcasters and there isn't much outrage that I've seen.
Some “outrage” in comments on various news articles online across the spectrum
I've seen some of that. I just dont think that equates to the amount of outrage many are claiming they see.
Yeah, I've seen a couple news reports outraged over it (but only when I go out of my way and search for it, haven't seen any just watching evening news) and some comments online in response to articles about the poster.
But I have yet to know anyone in person who is actually upset over it. Not one.
I just think by the way us snowflakes are being described and mocked at how easily we are offended, I'd at least know some in real life that exist. But I don't know a single one.
I think the outrage is just in the media and no where else.
Maybe. I have seen it pop up news feeds. I haven’t asked anyone about it, but then again I don’t live in Montana.

But when you say “just in the media”, that covers a lot. Some of the online articles have hundreds of comments, so obviously some people have thoughts on it.

Tester’s opponent seemed pretty outraged by it as evidenced by his comments. But hey, if you don’t see it, it doesn’t exist.
Yes, because I know him personally.
Read what I said. Other than the media, does anyone actually know anyone who is "outraged"?
I don't. But apparently I'm wrong since you can point to one politician who is.

I’ll poll my right leaning and conservative friends for their reaction. I’ll send them the image and ask them to share their thoughts. Granted I don’t have a large sample size so I’ll ask a friend who has many Team trump Treason supporters as colleagues or friends to do the same. Then I’ll report back. However, outrage doesn’t have to be personally experienced for it to exist. It just has to be expressed, whether on social media or via other methods.

Have a safe flight and enjoy the show. I’ll continue to respond to arguments I disagree with whether directed at me or not. Don’t try to quash my freedom of speech because you disagree with my opinion. Fair enough?

this poster does not depict anything violent. I'm not sure how anyone can make that claim. if tester was standing over trump with Negan's baseball bat, then sure, but all it shows is his skeleton. this is so not a big deal.
I agree.  I can see how some might see it as “distasteful” on a artistic personal preference level, but otherwise I believe it falls under the 1st Amendment rights category.  But I also agree with your previous comment about the outrage by thin skinned individuals if the tables were turned.  It’s just a fucking politically inspired concert poster at the end of the day, not a call for violence or threat or anything that would take it out of the realm of 1st Amendment protected rights.
It most likely wouldn’t be one that I would hang on my wall due to the political nature (I prefer to display more light hearted artwork in my house), but could see it being a cool “signs of the times” piece of artwork in the future.
anyone on the left claiming there wouldn't be absolute outrage and condemnation if this was Obama is kidding themseleves. even if it somehow, miraculously, couldn't be misconstrued as racially motivated, the left would still go apeshit over it.
If Obama acted, spoke, tweeted and governed like Team Trump Treason, no. It’s not like Team Trump Treason and his Administration have been inclusive or concerned.
    not relevant.
If Team Trump Treason acted/governed more like a Bush or traditional repube, you’d see JA come up with this kind of poster?

Yup. Cause the left over exaggerated their hate of republicans and now it’s bitting them in the ass.

just like the republicans over exaggerated their hatred of obama.
