The Republican Party and Fox News are upset about a poster.

Let the simplicity and the pettiness and irony of that sink it briefly before I launch into the pure fuckery that is our Government.

    A poster.
    A poster.

    No...
    Listen...
    A poster.

A rock n' roll poster has made NATIONAL news.

Not a group of Nazi's with tiki torches marching at a college.
Not a car plowing through protesters.
Not a madman with an assault rifle killing children.
Not a president who has pulled out of the Paris Accords.
    Not children being caged.
Not when the President cut funding for Public Television.
Not native Americans being forced off their land for a pipeline.
Not a president who openly admitted to sexually assaulting females.
Not a president who had a sexual relationship with a porn star.
AND COVERED IT UP WITH HUSH MONEY!!!!
Not a proven relationship with a foreign government who influenced the American voting process.

No... they aren't upset or outraged about ANY of those things.

Do you hear what I'm saying?

    A poster.

    A rock n roll poster...

A POSTER for a ROCK CONCERT has literally upset the the Republican Party.
The Republican Party is the the group who has coined the phrase "snowflake" and who has admonished millennials for being overly sensitive.

What kind of twisted, bizarro alternative fucking universe are we living in?

You've got your panties allllllll twisted because of a poster.

Let me get out this tiny violin for you multi-millionaires.

You forgot a Muslim fanactic was training children to shoot up schools and a dead body was found on the property and they were released by a leftist judge and the govt has already bulldozed the property.

That made news for about 17 seconds.
Meanwhile, 500 kids separated from their families , maybe forever, doesn't bother you in the slightest
    Womp womp.
So let me get this straight, you "womp womp" kids being forcefully separated from their parents and maybe never being able to see them again?

    Is that correct?

Two things that I find interesting about comments on the board, and elsewhere.

One is that a surprising number of people seem to think their own reasons for posting are perfectly legitimate but anyone who is not in agreement with their posts is “just arguing for the sake of arguing”.

The second is that people can make up really elaborate fantasies about other posters based on nothing at all. Honestly, unless you’ve met someone, why do you think you know anything about them?
I was just having the exact same thoughts while reading through these posts.

pearl jam has close to 1000 poster for 1000 shows and I'll bet you can find 50-100 of them have something that "offends" you.  this is just a case of us not having any real problems to worry about and now we have ten million media options to find things that make us angry when if your internet went down in the last week you would just be pooping without a care in the world.

I like some of the Pearl Jam posters but, in general, I don't care for them nearly as much as many of the poster from the 1966 to 1971 period of Filmore/ Winterland/ Avalon Ballroom/ Matrix days when artist like Wes Wilson, Alton Kelly, Stanley Mouse, Victor Moscoso and Rick Griffen were turning out works still considered classic works of art today.

I love Dylan Simon, but would have skipped the opener Bob Paul.

13 pages discussing a poster ... lol ... it's art, artist can express their feelings any way they want ... some people really need to get over it.  If it offends Trump, so what ... most find Trump offensive.  Now that I said that, I feel a tariff coming.

This is the kind of thing that made most of us fall in love with Pearl Jam ... they are not afraid to offend the establishment.  I think it's great that so many are offended.

    Maybe you should have been.
Wow, really? What a fucking asshole remark.
I'll consider the source on both this comment and the other.

Someone that has no skin in the game doean't have the same weight to their opinion as someone invested.

And no the issue at the border doesn't gain a lot of priority on my life's to do list.  But none are on topic so I will use the respective threads for doing so.

Let's not pretend everyone is equally invested in the future.
