    I think it’s intentional; designed to solidify his appeal to a lower-intellect base and seem more approachable.

    Trump net approval is minus ten (that's bad for trump)

    And generic congress is plus seven for Dems(that's bad for trump)

    This is all during a decent economy when any other president and party would be plus ten minimum in polling
