milestsang Hello to all the new followers! Thought I'd share a slice of process for last night's @pearljam poster before these go on sale soon. My computer crashed a few times while working on this piece, so I don't have any timelapse footage for this one, sadly. However, I did take snapshots in Photoshop which also illustrate the process pretty clearly. Once the base concept of the Royal Barge and general composition (symmetrical) was decided, I kind of just built upon that in small chunks until the detailed keyline was fully-realized. Then comes stylized toning and colours, with textures being the final ribbon on top. The image is then split up into consolidated layers for screenprinting (this print was produced by @inhousesilkscreen out of Chino, California after the illustration was competed). My AP copies will be going up in my shop ( in bio) soon, so join the mailing list to have sale info sent direct to your inbox (signup is in the footer of my site). The newsletter also gets fired out to Facebook and Twitter, but I recommend the newsletter to cut through the algorithms. Cheers!  #amsterdam #art #drawing #gigposter #grunge #horse #illustration #milestsang #netherlands #pearljam #photoshop #pjlive2018 #posterart #process #rock #screenprinting #silkscreen #skeleton #torontoartist #work #ziggodome

If only Pearl Jam was easier to read this would be my favorite so far. Fingers crossed for London.

Easily the best of the tour so far, I’d be happy enough if this was for a show I went to.
