    Festival crowds suck.  Reading they only drew a few hundred people at Governors Ball.  Sounds like The Replacements at Coachella

    I enjoyed Gaslight Anthem at the punk festival West Coast Riot here in Sweden, but they stuck out compared to all other bands (Sum 41, Millencolin etc)

    I really dig Brian Fallons latest album.

    I'm guessing this is it for tour dates???  They obviously had to wait until after Governors Ball to announce these additional dates so if they had any others I assume they would have been announced this week as well.  Bummer.

    Don’t know for certain but it seems so. A little surprised no LA dates were announced

    Anyone received their 59 Sound Sessions release yet? I've seen several people on various sites posting photos. Granted it's of the CD version (I ordered the vinyl, which I'm sure will be later), but I'm interested in hearing what this sounds like.

    Springsteen: It was this fascinating combination of elements. Punk music, elements of soul music, and some of the imagery had a kindred spirit that worked its way in there. It was this incredibly fresh music that had the slightest spark of some of the things we did, and it was really quite wonderful. You never know where some of your influences are going to go.     No, but I saw a post on twitter somewhere that mentioned an exclusive version via Newburry Comics, so I do think it's happening

    59 Sound Sessions is pretty solid. Some songs have pretty drastic lyric changes from their early versions. Something about Brian’s vocals says “this is what the album would have sounded like had he not found his vocal groove in LA doing the real album.” It feels very much like Sink or Swim.
