I feel that! Barely was familiar with Tool's music until seeing them at Gov Ball last year. Was blown away. Now catching up on my Maynard fronted bands. He is so truly unique.

I haven’t dove into Puscifer but I really like Tool and A Perfect Circle. The tool catalog is neat in that you can hear them grow both musically and intellectually with each release.

I highly enjoyed the first two APC albums with Thirteenth Step my favorite of the two. Never really got into eMotive which was just an album full of cover songs.

I’ve had a couple bottles of his wine, too, and I can tell you the man sure knows what he’s doing. Perhaps a bit overpriced and paying some for the name but it’s some damn good blood of Christ, that’s for certain.

I didn’t really like Puscifer’s first couple of releases, but I really dig on Conditions of my Parole and Money Shot.

I saw them twice twice on the Money Shot tour, I highly recommend their live show.

    It’s different.

Danny Carey’s kit set up for tracking is impressive:

eMOTIVe is worth it just for Passive, the only non-cover on the album.

I really like Fiddle and Drum, but yeah those first 2 APC albums are great. Stuff from the new album has been complete garbage.

Pretty cool.  Thanks for sharing.  Notice all of the electronic pads. So different from that 90"s!

Agreed. Very disappointed by the new stuff from APC. Honestly the only thing I am skeptical of on the new Tool record is Maynard's vocals. I think the band will still be heavy and solid.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Passive is probably my favorite APC song. The lyrics and that groove are awesome. For me, Judith hasn't aged well and is too "shiny".

I think he has more stroke in the other bands, since he’s far and away the star of the show. I anticipate a song or two mixed pretty heavy on the vox, like The Pot and Vicarious from the last album, but the other dudes there can keep him reined in.

I'm so fucking psyched about hearing a new record. I'd laugh hard if they released their record the same day as Pearl Jam again, like 10,000 Days!

That's bound to break the bank. I have none of their stuff on vinyl. I can't imagine how eargasmic Aenima and Lateralus will sound.
