The outro, with so much power, always does it for me. Still does live.

Never get tired of the reaction when Jeff starts the song
    Agreed!

I also think it's nostalgia and memories that makes the song so great. Jeremy was the first song I ever heard by Pearl Jam, which is a statement in line with so many, no matter when you got into the band. Hearing it live always makes me think of that first time I heard that song, which hooked me on this band, and has given me so many great memories.

I completely agree with this...also that Bass line in the outro and the Harmonics too...I really enjoy playing it on the Bass...although it took me ages to figure out what Jeff was doing eventually figured out what Jeff was doing :)

This song popped up on the phone on my commute to work this morning.  I never tire of it, and remember the first time I heard it.  It remains an all time favorite, not just of this band, but any band.  From about the 3:40 mark onward it still gives me the gdamn chills every time I hear it.  what a band

Excellent in-depth breakdown of Jeremy by musician/producer/instructor Rick Beato.  I had no idea this song was as complex as it is.  This guy seriously knows his shit!

Was anyone else aware there was a cello in the song?  I sure didn't. Enjoy!

Yep.  I remember back in 03 at the State College show the whole crowd was wailing the WHOOOOOAAAAAA-Ohhhhhh-oh-oh-ohs.  My eyes panned around the entire arena utterly amazed.  It was an absolute panoply!  The hairs on my arms were sticking straight up and every single pore was goose bumps.
