Ohhhh you're one of thoseeee!! You have a true aversion to Cilantro. Lmaoo... it's a real thing, look it up. I never heard of it until my co-worker, Toni, who eats and generally appreciates most foods was like "grosss cilantro taste like dirt!! She told me to Google it. I never knew it could gross people out until then! :rofl:hedonist said:F Me In The Brain saidu:That sounds awesome (perhaps minus truffle oil) -- Sprouts done well are amazing.
At the Reading Terminal Market on Sunday the wife and 3 year old had some turkey breast from a place that specializes in it.
When it is moist it is amazingly good.
(OK Hedo, Daniel, whomever else...make the moist joke now.
)
I've never met a Sprout I liked. I've tried, too.
(They're the vegetable equivalent of my herbal nemesis, cilantro.)0 -
Yes, ma'am! It doesn't taste like dirt to me but is incredibly unappealing to my delicate palatehauntingfamiliar said:

I'm the same way with Thai basil and lemongrass, though I love Thai food. 0 -
^Aww Hedo... no lemongrass either?? Cilantro and lemongrass are some of the lightest, most refreshing herbs to me. Different strokes for different folks though

I'm not a big fan of them either, but saute them up in a skillet where they're good and crispy and I'll eat them. They lose most, if not all, of their nutritional value then, but they taste delicious.hedonist said:F Me In The Brain said:That sounds awesome (perhaps minus truffle oil) -- Sprouts done well are amazing.

I recently learned about the cilantro aversion too. Crazy that some people have that. One of my friends thinks it tastes like soap. I thought he was just crazy at first.

Yes, soapy! I only know because I once had to "wash out my mouth with soap" when I was a kid
