That sounds like a freaking great combo.
After a few listens I may back off that comparison a bit, although it's certainly present on a few songs. He does name check Elsie on Her Majesty's Service. Neptune is pretty personal and introspective lyrically.

Sleepwalkers the song is just fantastic in every way.

The album is definitely different than Painkillers but it's also very much Brian Fallon. Really good stuff.

Anyone get a shipping notification for the preorder vinyl yet?  I thought I would have gotten one by now...
  • I haven't gotten mine yet. Order status still shows the order is being prepared, hasn't shipped yet. Shipping on or around the street date of February 9th was what the order confirmation email said. I was hoping my first listen was going to be the record but now I'm getting more tempted to download the leak. Especially since the FLAC is available now... Hoping for a 24bit tomorrow though.

Have been listening to the new album this morning and after not entirely loving his first solo album, I am enjoying this one on the first few listens

After one listen I really like the new album. Really wish my vinyl would have at least SHIPPED by release date, which apparently it has not.

**Also looking for ONE ticket to the Philly show at Union Transfer. Have some but now need one more. If anyone has an extra PLEASE let me know!

Yeah, that's shitty that these pre-orders haven't even shipped yet.  I'll just listen on Spotify for now...

Still nothing on the vinyl.  This is reminding me of how the 45 RPM Club was run.....brutal.

You’re talking about the vinyl pre-order from his official merch shop? Sucks, but at least I’m not the only one.

Welcome!
