Just finished season 2 of The Exorcist tv show on Fox. Pretty good stuff!  A nod to The Exorcist III movie, during the season finale.
That caught me off guard completely. The original scene scared the shit outta me.

Exorcist III is underrated, and creepy as hell!

    agree
i think house of 1000 corpses is a terrific horror film, as its negative image devils rejects.  i also like his halloween remake.

Anyone ever see the movie Burnt Offerings (1976)?  That was our friday fright night film at the local indie theater.  Pretty good horror movie considering when it came out. solid cast.

when i first saw this trailer i wasn't too impressed by it (didn't look scary to me) then I saw the second trailer which i liked a lot more.  Saw the movie yesterday and it was really good.  I admit I jumped a few times (like 3 or 4).  The creatures were pretty cool.  Didn't know Emily and John were married in real life so that's cool.  Also the deaf girl is actually deaf in real life.  Think those two things helped the movie a little.  Ending kinda reminded me of M Nights "Signs" a little with how they defeated the creatures.  Could be a sequel or prequel I would think?  Also Chris Pratt approves of the movie

the audience wasn't quiet when i saw it.  I heard people talking in the first few rows (we were in the middle) which was kinda annoying.  And also one dude kept to the right of me kept on checking his phone every so often but he was pretty good at hiding it.

I thought it was extremely dumb and wayyyy overhyped.  I kept reading about how it was the scariest movie on Netflix and possibly the scariest film of all time.  Wasn't a damn thing scary about it.  It's much more creepy reading about the real story behind the inspiration for the film than it is watching the film itself.

I hadn't read anything about it at all before watching it, so had zero expectations. So given that, yeah, it wasn't bad. ;) No, it wasn't that scary... but it was a little scary IMO. It had its moments. Plus the acting was pretty good, and that little boy is adorable.
From what I can tell, expectations are the #1 ruiner of movies, lol. That is why I never have any for movies.

Exactly. And take someone like me who loves the horror genre and has been yearning to see the next great horror film.  After I had read so much praise from so many different sources I thought "Maybe this is the one."  Expectations definitely led to a big letdown.

Yeah, I like the aged look of what I can see in this pic. This movie takes place 40 years after the original, no other sequels are acknowledged.

Just saw Motel Hell.  I had never seen it before, it was pretty good.  I imagine if it was made today Rob Zombie would probably be the director.

Man, that blows! Good show.  We need more horror series.  I really loved Ash Vs. The Evil Dead on Starz.
