I'm hooked. Listened to No Code, Pinkpop and Unplugged episodes so far. I love the dynamic, laughter and basically that it's pretty much what my PJ friends and I sound like when we're sitting around shooting the shit about performances, songs and albums. Although my favorite part is probably when you fangirl out over Eddie's luscious locks and general swoon-worthy good looks. It happens to all of us.0

Sure, some your songs the songs that you chose wouldn't come near my own top ten (which would be very Ten/Vs/Vitalogy heavy) but I respect your choices and enjoyed hearing the reasoning behind them - especially for "Parachutes" - kids will get you every time! (Sorry for the "spoiler" there).
And yes indeed, HH is a beast! (Trying to avoid another "spoiler" here.)
PS...still trying to catch up on some shows from the past few weeks. I have enough trouble finding time to LISTEN to your shows - I don't know how you two find the time to actually CREATE them! Keep it up, however!
I also caught up by listening to the other recent podcasts, namely the one about No Code. I really like that album (and the hilarious podcast the THREE of you put together about it) but have to admit that I can't get it to crack my own "Top 3 PJ albums" - the first three will always win for me. Don't get me wrong, Sometimes into Hail, Hail is absolutely killer while In My Tree and Present Tense are two of their greatest songs. However, after those (and maybe Off He Goes and Habit) it drops off for me. I get it. It's where the band tried to "test" their fan base - and they succeeded. Those who hung on seem to have a comradery of sorts. Still, I'm not sure why so many PJ fans ADORE songs like Red Mosquito and Smile. Yes, they're indeed decent enough tunes but I gotta say they wouldn't crack my top 50. To each his/her own, of course. It's all a matter of personal taste - and, yes, I'm willing to take the heat for this comment as well.
While I'm "here" - an extremely-belated top 10 songs of mine. As I stated in my previous post, it's very Ten/Vs/Vitalogy heavy. In fact, those are the only albums a represented in my list - although those No Code tracks I mentioned plus Given To Fly, Brain of J, and Do the Evolution deserved to be mentioned (as does Last Exit).
10. Black
9. Better Man
8. Daughter
7. Go
6. Animal
5. Release
4. RVM
3. Corduroy
2. Alive
1. Immortality
Yes, it's a bit "hits" heavy but I can't help think of how great all of these songs are live - and all the tags on most of these songs just take them to another level.
Keep up the great work, gentlemen - and I want to hear the Canadian accent that one of you was considering attempting.
I like Red mosquito but it had to grow on me over the years. But I LOVE Smile, I have since I first heard it way back when. What’s wrong with you? LOL KIDDING.
Any top ten that that includes Black is ok in my book!
Thanks for hanging in there with us!
Love the idea of replacing Mankind and I'm Open with All Night and Dead Man.Otherwise, just go from Present Tense to Around the Bend and end it.0 -

Great topic this week...haven't listened yet but will provide my own list now to avoid being influenced by the ones you two three make.
Fave/Least Fave
Alive/Even Flow* (just a bit bored of EF these days...I guess I listen to too many boots - although oddly enough Alive is also on most of them!)
RVM/WMA* (If only due to its low total of live performances...again, all I listen to are boots these days)
Immortality/Stupid Mop (edit: Satan's Bed)
Hail Hail/I'm Open
Given To Fly/Pilate
Parting Ways/Soon Forget
Save You/Arc (edit: Get Right)
Severed Hand/Big Wave
Unthought Known/Johnny Guitar
Getaway/Sirens...no Future Days....no Sleeping By Myself...yes, Sleeping By Myself
*Still great tunes, just gotta pick something for the bottom. And, no, I wouldn't take a piss break during Even Flow.Post edited by rummy on0 -
...and now I'm listening and regretting/questioning putting Even Flow and WMA last. Again, no songs on the first two albums come remotely close to being "clunkers."
...and if I'm not counting the four non-songs on Vitalogy, my least would be Satan's Bed.Post edited by rummy on0 -

Enjoyed this one even though you two were more than kind to the album. It's definitely in position 10 out of 10 in my album rankings. With this said, it's not all bad... it's just that these songs pale in comparison when put next to their earlier work.
Referencing the podcast, did you get that Muse playlist from anyone else? If not, check out these big tracks from their second, third, and fourth albums:
Plug in Baby
New Born
Bliss
Citizen Erased
Stockholm Syndrome
Hysteria
Time is Running Out
Butterflies & Hurricanes
Supermassive Black Hole
Knights of Cydonia
