@Brad Lyons: Maybe I missed it on one of your podcasts but what bands did you play in/for - or are you a solo artist? Not to sound creepy (seriously) but I looked you up (googled your name) and stumbled upon an album called "Ten Steps." Is that yours?
That IS Lyons. Good stuff!

@Bladamus Maximus@bradlyons Hey guys, just found the podcast a week ago and making my way through the back catalog of episodes. Made it through the first 10 so far and just wanted to give you two a shout and say thanks for the time & effort in doing these. It's been a great listen so far and I'm looking forward to making it through the rest of the episodes. I haven't been on the forums much the past few years but a podcast is a great way to get a fix of some PJ nerdery. Nice job guys!

We’re back this week covering Disc 2 of Pearl Jam’s Lost Dogs. As always, we read some listener emails and hear a Pearl Jam Story. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening!
Discovered your podcast about two weeks ago, and about a week ago I began listening from the beginning (including the intro episode). It was then when my Single Podcast Theory addiction was born!
I would first of all like to complement you guys on a tremendous show, especially considering that you barely knew each other when you started back in September. Your perspectives are not only fun to listen to, but have introduced me to new perspectives on PJ's work and have helped highlight some of their music that I hadn't previously fully appreciated. For example, my opinion on No Code as an album has grown more positive since prior to listening to you guys.
Also, the ongoing jokes such as rewriting Yellow Ledbetter, mocking the opening of "Dissident", or "Hitchhiker" give the podcast it's friendly charm, which keeps it entertaining, makes you want to keep listening, and almost never fails to make me laugh out loud, or at least smile.
Since this is my first time writing to you, I thought I should give you guys the essential lists lots of listeners/writers have already given you.
Below are my album rankings with most/least favorite songs on the corresponding albums in parentheses. I threw this together on the spot. (Although I love the album "experience" and sometimes catch myself enjoying the silly "Bugs" a little more than I think I should, I am not counting interlude, instrumental, transition, and hidden track songs)
Here goes:
1. Vitalogy (Last Exit/Whipping) 2. Yield (In Hiding/Push Me, Pull Me) 3. Ten (Release/Deep) 4. Vs. (Rearviewmirror/Rats) 5. Backspacer (The Fixer/Speed of Sound) 6. No Code (Present Tense/Mankind) 7. Lightning Bolt (Mind Your Manners/Sirens) 8. Pearl Jam (World Wide Suicide/Parachutes) 9. Riot Act (I Am Mine/Bu$hleaguer (Not because of the politics, just because I generally hate talk-singing)) 10. Binaural (Light Years/Of A Girl)
I think I could have an interesting perspective on this list, as I really didn't catch on to Pearl Jam for a while. I knew they existed, but I never really sought out their music. Then, the news about a year ago that Pearl Jam was going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame encouraged me to finally take the "musical deep dive" I needed. After enjoying and catching on to Ten, I will never forget hearing Last Exit for the first time, and Vitalogy establishing my long-term fandom. Then, their live performances pushed me even farther into becoming a diehard PJ fan. Constantly discovering new beautiful pieces of music even until today, and other albums such as Yield, Pearl Jam has already changed my life as both a human, and a fan of music. Eddie Vedder's voice is now one of my favorite instruments too, and I absolutely cannot wait to see them for the first time this summer!
Obviously, the thing that may stand out the most to you is my disapproval of Sirens! To me, I just don't like that song all that much because it sounds like what Pearl Jam would sound like if they "sold-out" and truly achieved the image Kurt Cobain had of them as a polished, commercial, and corporate band. I am not saying that Lightning Bolt is a sold out album, or even necessarily a Sirens is a sold out song. I am just saying it sounds like the slow song formula for an overly-commercial Pearl Jam. Luckily, I don't think they are or ever will actually move in that direction!
Other songs worth mentioning: Black, Once, Porch, State of Love and Trust, Go, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, Not For You, Tremor Christ, Nothingman, Corduroy, Better Man, Immortality, Hail Hail, Brain of J., Given To Fly, Do The Evolution, MFC, All Those Yesterdays, Lightning Bolt, Inside Job, and Save You.
Favorite Lost Dog:Footsteps Favorite Cover:Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns - Mother Love Bone Favorite Shows/Boots: Milwaukee 10/20/2014 (Because I love Yield) and Wrigley Field 7/19/2013
Can't wait for the tour this summer and for your next episode! Keep up the good work and keep on rockin' in the free world!
P.S: I am from Lake Forest and proud to see that such an awesome podcast co-host and fellow Pearl Jam nerd is also from the north shore! Go Cubbies!

Hey Brad and Brad Been around the boards for going on 20 years (remember the days of the old PJ BBS?!) and your podcast kicks ass. Just started at Ep 1 last week and am up to speed now. It's cool to hear different perspectives (Ten at #8! WTF !) But seriously, love the show and hope you maintain the drive to continue it. Cheers. Judd from Adelaide, Australia.
Yo! This week we take another trip to the SPT Songwriters Corner and talk about our favorite songs penned by the one and only, Eddie Vedder. We also discuss listener emails and this week’s Pearl Jam Story comes to us from our friend Kate Cotton. Enjoy!
Available now on most podcast apps, including Apple/iTunes.
Looking back at Lost Dogs shows and the extended Binaural idea. Have you found the ridleybradout compilation? Not sure if I can post the link on the 10c forum but google it. It's very good and very thorough.
Burned through the Lost Dogs eps this morning while trying to get some work done. Thank you for a lot of laughs and for sharing some awesome opinions on the songs! I kind of love when Brad B. doesn't love a song and listening to Lyons verbally cringe when the word "Jamily" is used. Thankfully for us female fans, Brad B. loooooooves the ladies. You guys crack me up and keep me suitably distracted from the mountains of work currently overwhelming me. Keep 'em coming and I hope to meet up with you at Wrigley!
Hello! Hope everyone had a great week! This episode, we take the first dive in to a discussion about the songs that Pearl Jam covers. Thanks to Kate Cotton for our intro, and to John Allison for this week's Pearl Jam Story!

I forget...was it Brad L? Which one of you had all three of RVM, Immortality, and Corduroy? That list is better. ;-)
My own list would be:
Honourable mentions: Oceans, Not For You, Long Road, Sometimes, Off He Goes, and MFC.
10. Porch
9. Small Town
8. In My Tree
7. Parting Ways
6. I Got Id
5. Release
4. Better Man
3. RVM
2. Corduroy
1. Immortality
As much as I love Hail Hail, Black, and Alive I omitted them as EV is not credited with writing any of the music.
