Ah, the benevolence of wal mart, where full time employees earn about $28K a year, if you’re a full timer, on average. And that $1,000 bonus? You’re only eligible for the $1K if you have 20 years of service. Imagine working at wal mart for 20 years. What percentage of employees last that long? $50 a year for each year of service. Less than a dollar a week. How will they spend it all?
Some trivia before I leave?? What famous politician was once a WalMart board member?

I suspect we will see a few more brick and mortar retail store closings in the coming months/years. That's just my guess.

Haha, just looked it up.  Hillbilly Rotten Clinton helped Wal Mart become the “ rhinoceros dick” blower that it is today!

I suppose it’s better than being on the board of Enron, Halliburton, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, BP, Exxon/Mobil or affiliated with Team Trump Treason. But I don’t support Walmart anyways.

This isn't a new opinion. I know lots of people who think this. I mean, really what he is trying to say but is too crazy and gross and rude and ridiculous to verbalize it in any other way, is more "why are we letting in so many people from countries with cultures and social and political circumstances that aren't very compatible with America's, since this means the people coming from those places don't integrate well in America." Now, we can all assume that this is race-based if we want. I don't know if I would, but you never know. Well....... I consider that a somewhat valid question. Not a very fucking generous or open-minded or multicultural one - it doesn't exactly match up with the whole melting pot ideal - but it's at least valid and perhaps worth discussing. Thoughts?

President Trump grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office when they floated restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal, according to two people briefed on the meeting.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to African countries and Haiti. He then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries like Norway, whose prime minister he met yesterday.

The comments left lawmakers taken aback, according to people familiar with their reactions. Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) proposed cutting the visa lottery program by 50 percent and then prioritizing countries already in the system, a White House official said.

A White House spokesman declined to offer an immediate comment on Trump’s remarks.

Outlining a potential bipartisan deal, the lawmakers discussed restoring protections for countries that have been removed from the temporary protected status program while adding $1.5 billion for a border wall and making changes to the visa lottery system.

The administration announced earlier this week that it was removing the protection for El Salvador.

Trump had seemed amenable to a deal earlier in the day during phone calls, aides said, but shifted his position in the meeting and did not seem interested.

Graham and Durbin thought they would be meeting with Trump alone and were surprised to find immigration hard-liners such as Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), at the meeting. The meeting was impromptu and came after phone calls this morning, Capitol Hill aides said.

After the meeting, Marc Short, Trump’s legislative aide, said the White House was nowhere near a bipartisan deal on immigration.

“We still think we can get there,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at the White House press briefing.

Because life in Norway is so, so very terrible that the great unwashed Norwegian masses are yearning to be free and live in freedom and democracy and risk their lives crossing the oceans and any land masses, via unscrupulous smugglers, to get to our shores and beg for citizenship. They'd even willingly take low paying, menial jobs just to have a shot at becoming an American. Why, if Team Trump Treason opened our borders, Norway would be a vacant, cold, dark, wasteland, overrun with reindeer.

But to answer your question, Team Trump Treason is a racist fuck.

Carrier Corp., the HVAC manufacturer that had planned to move its operations to Mexico before President Trump staged a much-heralded intervention, is gearing up for a final round of layoffs.

Less than four months after it laid off nearly 340 employees at its Indianapolis factory, Carrier said Tuesday that 215 employees will be terminated on Jan. 11.

I mean, if Norway was still Norway, all other things being equal, but Norwegians were black or brown, would that make a difference in Trump's mind? I have no idea.... How does Trump feel about Japanese folks immigrating to the US? Probably fine. I think in this case he really might be thinking about the nature of the culture/economic situation/sociopolitical factors and not about race. But yeah, of course, America has always had open arms for those who are seeking a BETTER life, to escape persecution, poverty, etc. Nobody from Norway is seeking that. It's a fucking stupid, idiotic premise, if not racist. In other words... I think Trump just wants to bring in wealthy upper middle class and above people, not necessarily white people.

Wow, Trump has no idea how to be diplomatic. At least the world knows how he really feels about people from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries.
I can not understand why anyone still supports this racist idiot.

Thoughts?

Trump attacks protections for immigrants from ‘shithole’ countries in Oval Office meeting

Or it was the last Prime Minister he happened to speak with. Maybe if it was Baby Doc Duvalier or Idi Amin Dada or Robert Mugabe, he'd be calling Norway a shithole?

"according to people familiar with their reactions". and we wonder why people believe the term "fake news".
There were enough people present that this was bound to leak.
Anonymous and unnamed sources have always been a part of journalism.

The White House issued a statement that did not deny or confirm that he said it.

So now we know for sure that Herr dRumpf is an ignorant hateful RACIST.

Which will, unfortunately,  make too many Americans happy

And even more unfortunately that some people on this site,  claiming to be Pearl Jam fans, happy to hear the president  be an open hateful ignorant RACIST
