I think the OG are by Far superior to these reissues.
What they did to Inside Job is an outrage.
Poor Boom they all but omitted his contribution to this track.
You can barely hear his piano.
Binaural reissue sounds muffled I agree.
If I would’ve known I would have just stuck to my originals.

Brendan OBrian can’t help but fuck shit up.
Maybe all this sounds alright on a shit USB turntable but I have beyond quality gear and my black Ortofon cartridge doesn’t like this crap
You forget that S/T was basically unlistenable before?

Alot Binaural sounds muffled and cloudy in every version. It was a stylistic choice.

If it sounds alright on a shitty turntable shouldn’t it sound infinitely better in a table fit for a cart as high end as the Ortofon? I haven’t always used good equipment, but I’ve always heard across the board improvement when of upgraded the different pieces.

I run a Pro-ject carbon hooked up to a Pioneer 8500ii pushing HPM-100's.  It sounds muffled.

Someone mentioned that this album was meant to be listened to with headphones?

I like the original mix of avocado I don’t see the big deal and no I haven’t forgotten.
You would think it would sound better yes but here I am saying no no it doesn’t.
Sorry everybody I’m not trying to be negative and I do apologize if it sounds that way.
I just don’t really like these reissues so I’m sticking to my OGs.

I listened to the reissue of Binaural tonight. It sounded pretty good to me. The kick drum on the heavier songs has no real definition, especially on Breakerfall. Otherwise, I quite enjoyed it. Of the Girl was like being in the same room when they were recording. Parting Ways sounds massive with a lot of depth.

One significant thing I found is that everything seemed to open up the louder I went on the volume.

I'll keep that in mind with the other reissues too.

What didn't you like? Did you listen to it through headphones?
It sounded muddled to me.  No with headphones.  Just played on my system.
You should go back and listen to Sleight of Hand on the CD again.  It sounds exactly the same (to me anyway...)

It's literally just as MUFFLED then as it is now.

Still using the- hummm, tappitytappity hummmm Project Carbon Debut.  Between it beinbg a busy time of year and now have a #$*% flu bug, I haven't had time to go TT shopping.  Next year!

Meanwhile, enjoying the pristine copy of Tom Jones' Live in Las Vega that I picked up just before the bug hit at a local thrift store for 50 cents!  Jones' voice is in top form here and his band cooks!
