I just saw this on Amazon. HAHAHA!

It's a hopeless situation...0 -
Trump tweets a picture of the train derailment to promote his infrastructure plan? Are you kidding me? He’s really fucking clueless and without empathy. There was a discussion on the news about how rails have to meet certain requirements to handle the new high-speed trains. This one derailed on the first day...it sounds like something wasn't done, maybe that. For those that like deregulation....there's a reason for it...public safety. I wouldn't want my family traveling on unsafe infrastructure so stop with the deregulating already. The GORP, Grand Old Russian Party, could give a crap about our safety.Falling down,...not staying down0

Regulation in itself does not necessarily bring about safety. But I get what you are saying. I wish there was someone willing to do the heavy lifting to actually review and update the regulations rather than just simply add more for "Safety" or eliminate many just to make it "easier". Our public officials are so lazy.Kat said:There was a discussion on the news about how rails have to meet certain requirements to handle the new high-speed trains. We see deregulation in a lot of countries. For example... the factory building that collapsed on itself in India killing all the workers pumping out cheap garments for North American consumers.
Enforcing codes to ensure safety is a bit of a pain for the 'boss' who might want to cheap out and save himself some cash, but it's good for the average joe who is just trying to make a go of it and pay their bills.
Are people seriously so stupid they think a deregulated society would be a benefit to all? Only 1%... only 1%.

Regulations in and of themselves don't guarantee safety, but lack of regulation in key areas guarantees lack of safety.cincybearcat said:

No they don’t. Some don’t do anything to help and only add cost.oftenreading said:

but I agree, without regulations it would be worse. I just want them to be better written and not so freakin cumbersome. It’s ridiculous.
But its its even more ridiculous to just start eliminating them without really understanding what you are doing or to only save $.

Some very frightening stuff by Charlie Kirk, apparently people actually believe this crap:
Imagine if a Democrat President turned around an economy in 9 months, created 1.5 million jobs, oversaw 15+ record highs in the stock market, signed over 50+ bills into law, & confirmed a record numbers of justices The media would say those accomplishments are historic
