    ?? I don't know about that. I mean, he was in his own hotel room/changing room. Pretty sure it's not illegal to strip in your own hotel room. And people get naked in changing rooms. So yeah, where it occurs matters a lot. I am quite sure it is not illegal to expose a breast, penis, or vagina in private. Indecent exposure is a crime that must happen in public or where there is a good chance the public will see it, like in a hotel window overlooking a busy sidewalk or something.

    It’s fucked up and I’m happy that all these famous people are being exposed, and I’m sure his reputation will get hit hard by this. 

    But im curious if there is some sort of law where if you come forward almost 20 years after the fact, the person might not face charges? 
     
    My opinion is that he shouldn’t face legal trouble because it was so long ago and there’s no way to 100% prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt. 

    Just windering what the laws are around that!

    Again, if his rep wasn't hit hard months ago when this story actually broke, why should it get hit hard now? I don't get it.

    And yeah, the statute of limitations apply. I agree that people shouldn't be getting punished for shit they did 20, 30, 40 years ago. Not unless it's a much more serious crime.

    Traumatic? Really? I mean, being appalled is a pretty normal response. But traumatized?? I don't think so. I think people are getting too sensitive now. Again, I'm not saying it's okay behaviour.     Some of their careers suffered because they did start telling people and were told to keep quiet by people who pull a lot of strings in their line of work.

Honestly, Louis CK stripping down in his hotel room and jerking off, when the woman can just say "fuck you" and leave... that really doesn't sound traumatic to me. Weird, but not traumatic.
    Maybe not to you, but these women looked up to him or were underlings at his workplace, and they were paralyzed by his actions. Some laughed it off at the time as a defensive coping mechanism; others went along with it for as long as they had to so that they could keep their jobs.

    Some of their careers suffered because they did start telling people and were told to keep quiet by people who pull a lot of strings in their line of work.

    I feel like this issue is becoming too black and white in many different ways now.
    At the end of the day I'm glad that everyone is finally making it clear that inappropriate sexual behaviour is not being treated as something people can get away with anymore. That is fantastic. WTF took so long??
    However, I think retroactively turning every woman who ever had anything sexually inappropriate happen in front of her into a traumatized victim presents some problems. It fails to take present realities into account for one thing. And context. And currency as far as feelings go. I think this is all a lot more complicated than most are making it out to be, when we're talking about long past events. It's not as black and white as many seem tempted to make it out to be.

    Now, this done by a stranger in public is extremely alarming. That has also happened to me, and it scared the hell out of me and I ran away. Although I was with my mother, and she actually started laughing her head off.     The grayness is what causes the perpetrators to get away with it for so long.

    To your point, it did not sound like all five women who went on the record were traumatized. And one even got the hell away from him. Different people, different reactions. 

    Unanimously, though, I think that all accounts feel that he willfully crossed a line with no concern for them whatsoever—that is, other than as sexual objects. And that will likely always leave a bit of a stain.
