    So now that you got this out of the way... what? What is your point?
    First, I want to establish why the amt intelligentsia thinks we have Trump. I keep reading post after post about "I can't believe this as what is our president" so to me it seems like there's some confusion as to how we got here. So far I only have three reasons why we have Trumpbut there must be more. Ultimately we should learn from this colossal mistake but we can't and won't learn if we ignore the reasons why. make heads and tails?

    Greed was another reason, but given 1% of the population voted for Trump out of greed... it's a remote factor.

    I'm glad we agree that 2 was significant in that unfortunate upset. The same people who think chocolate milk comes from brown cows voted for Donald because they thought he was going to make America great again and/or he was going to make white happen.

    Everybody knew there was a solid contingent of morons in the US and that racism still existed. it's just that nobody knew for sure what levels lurked. Provided Donald doesn't f**k things right up nationally and internationally... the event could serve as a catalyst for positive change (like making an investment in public education).

    Those are good questions.

    I just posted to voter apathy which would be very difficult to gauge, but it could be the answer to your question. Democrats felt assured and didn't bother, while many people typically indifferent (but leaning to the Republican side) were extra motivated given they just had eight years of a black man serving as president with a woman waiting in the wings.

    I mean... among many votes lost... Trump should have lost every minority vote, every woman vote, every disabled vote, and every blue collar working man's vote (if that blue collar working man was playing with half a deck).

    I've responded. Let's hear it. Set me straight. Give me your reasons.
