Just more brilliant Trump geo-political strategy in all it's brilliant brilliance.jeffbr said:

So the question I have is, is trump cutting edge with his use of twitter....or am I just seeing his tweets more than Obama because of how stupid they are?
Cause if he is using it more, he is changing the political landscape moving forward. And it can be a very effective tool. Now we just need someone who isn't a tool using it as president!!Trump to China: Thanks for trying with North Korea

It allows him to maintain his outsider persona while keeping his base energized. He ran against the republican party not with it. His crossover/previous Obama voters aren't interested in what makes a republican's life harder.dignin said:

Yea, the district that gave us Newt the Beaut should be going 70-30 or 80-20 for the repub but because of Trump, it's likely to end up 2-3%, maybe less. By November 2018, Trump will be untenable.dignin said:

Trump only won the district by one point...that is why the dems poured in all that money. It is early but currently Handel is outperforming Trump. If Trump is truly radioactive then this seat is one that the dems could win. It will be hard for the dems to duplicate this enthusiam/money. Also the GOP is turning out their vote and don't appear to be demoralized at all.dignin said:

I love all these pro-military hawks supporting a rich guy who took 5 deferments during The Vietnam War... who doesn't personally comment when 7 sailors are killed... and grandstands in front of the wall commemorating fallen intelligence officers... and of course mocked a former POW... attacked a fallen soldiers family
But I remember Obama not wearing a flag pin meant he was the kenyan anti-American anti-Christ
Bravo, frauds.
Did I forget to mention he was a life long "elite" Manhattan democrat.
Bravo, suckers.Post edited by my2hands on0 -
Conservative judges, pulled out of TPP, pulled out of Paris, drastic reduction in illegal immigration, energy exploration, reduction in government regulations, obamacare repeal/replace a third of the way to completion, economy generally doing well, and on and on. Most things are moving in the right direction as promised to his voters. In their eyes he is being effective in delivering what was promised and more is to come.dignin said:

Yea, the district that gave us Newt the Beaut should be going 70-30 or 80-20 for the repub but because of Trump, it's likely to end up 2-3%, maybe less. By November 2018, Trump will be untenable.dignin said:
You talking about the seat that Republicans usually win by 20+ points but tonight it's a coin flip? You may want to rethink that.BS44325 said:

However, if used appropriately, I could see him sending a twitter message first. It's just that he can't do that without being a 15 year old.
So the question I have is, is trump cutting edge with his use of twitter....or am I just seeing his tweets more than Obama because of how stupid they are?
Cause if he is using it more, he is changing the political landscape moving forward. And it can be a very effective tool. Now we just need someone who isn't a tool using it as president!!0 -

But Price won by 23 points, and Handel has only narrowly squeaked in. She should have won this very conservative district handily, but instead she was close to losing. Trump and the Repubs will cast this as a win for them, but it shows a real and measurable decline in support.BS44325 said:
Trump only won the district by one point...that is why the dems poured in all that money. It is early but currently Handel is outperforming Trump. If Trump is truly radioactive then this seat is one that the dems could win. It will be hard for the dems to duplicate this enthusiam/money. Also the GOP is turning out their vote and don't appear to be demoralized at all.dignin said:

The first three things you listed are the only campaign promises he's followed through on so far.BS44325 said:
Conservative judges, pulled out of TPP, pulled out of Paris, drastic reduction in illegal immigration, energy exploration, reduction in government regulations, obamacare repeal/replace a third of the way to completion, economy generally doing well, and on and on. Most things are moving in the right direction as promised to his voters. In their eyes he is being effective in delivering what was promised and more is to come.dignin said:
How is he being effective? By what measure?BS44325 said:
He is being effective...just not in the way that you would like.dignin said:
I get that part....but what is more important? Getting re-elected in 3.5 years or being an effective president?BS44325 said:
It allows him to maintain his outsider persona while keeping his base energized. He ran against the republican party not with it. His crossover/previous Obama voters aren't interested in what makes a republican's life harder.dignin said:
I don't see how that makes him sane. Every time he tweets something it almost always makes his job and the republicans job of getting shit done harder.BS44325 said:

To this day I just can not wrap my head around that President Trump won with less votes.
It must be hard for non-President Trump supporters to grasp that.

The race was nationalized as proven by all the outside money. It was a Trump +1 district and it absolutely a win because a loss would have neen a disaster. Next time around Handel will have full name recognition and will have proven that she can turn out the base when necessary.oftenreading said:
