Login with facebook or ticketmaster, pick the location of the concert you want to attend from the map and then enter your phone number and you will be entered in to presale group 2 (Tuesday, June 20 at 1pm CDT). If you buy an album or bundle from the QOTSA store, you will get entered in group 1 (Tuesday, June 20 at 12pm CDT). You must register by June 17 at 7pm PDT.

That sounds complicated as fuck...what is the point?  Their is vinyl available for purchase, where?  I have never seen them in concert as I just got into them past 1-2 years...I will definitely go if Detroit is on the tour.

Am I guaranteed a spot in the first group if I order the cd? Can someone who ordered the cd please confirm that they are in group 1. Furthermore, I went to the queens website and the cd was $15. While using a link from the email I think, the cd was $11.

So I kind of accidentally ended up preordering the deluxe version from the UK store, and the total was $69.25 CAD, including shipping. Wow, expensive! Oh well. I actually wish now that I'd ordered the indie version. Maybe I'll ask to change the order? I'm wondering if someone can convince me why the deluxe is better, lol. I know I like the cover of the indie version more, obviously, but I guess the deluxe comes with extra stuff. Hmm. Anyway, afterwards, I went to pretend-order from the US QOTSA shop to compare prices, and the final total on that was $66+ USD!! That is a pretty significant different after the conversion. So any Canadians should buy through the UK site if they want to save money! Get 'em here: https://shopeu.matadorrecords.com/products/queens-of-the-stone-age-villains

(Sorry if that info was already posted - I haven't read all the posts from today)

You have to pre-order from the official QOTSA store or from the Matador Records store. I pre-ordered from Matador and am in Group 1. Matador looks like it's $11.99 and QOTSA is $15.99 for the CD. Not sure how the difference works out with the CD re: tax + shipping on that since I ordered the LP.

It's easy to login via Facebook or your Ticketmaster account, and that is where you select the show you're interested in and register.

Can you be in Group 1 and Group 2 just in case you get shut out during Group 1?

I ordered from Matador by clicking on the top left link on the main QOTSA page.

I then went to check my group & I'm in group 2.

It says you will get confirmation after the 17th from what I saw. I'm guessing they have to verify the purchase.

No, and I highly doubt you would get shut out. They are about 4 other pre-sales before public on sale.

If you have the deluxe of Like Clockwork this deluxe is the same quality and pressing plant. And Like Clockwork is about the best sounding pressing I've heard the last several years. It was also a 45.

I pre-ordered this morning and also registered separately, where it put me in Group 2. After a few hours, it looks like they verified my order and moved me up to group 1.

That's good to hear. Hoping they bump me up as well. The site was crazy glitchy while trying to pre-order. I grabbed the indie lp & will be going to the KC show.

Did you use the link from the Verified Fan link posted here? The terms specified you need to access it from there. I purchased that way, and refreshed and it's showing me in Group One!

I think you'll be transferred to the TicketFly website thru TicketMaster...I just bought tickets for The Magpie Salute show in Indy and had that happen to me!!
