unsung I stopped by on March 7 2024. First time in many years, had to update payment info. Hope all is well. Politicians suck. Bye. Posts: 9,487I take my hat off because I am not an A-hole.
Gentlemen also take their hats off while indoors, especially while dining. I always take it off when I am seated at the table.
I open the door and hand it off to anyone but I hold it open to allow ladies to enter first.

Just a sign of the times. Look at flying ... 50 years ago you would dress up and be treated with dignity from the staff. Now people wear sweat pants and flip flops, while their fake service dog is pooping diarrhea in the aisle and the staff is tasering someone because they demanded an extra pillow for free.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0

Good point Jason P. Look at pictures of a baseball game from the 30s. Everyone in the stands was dressed in formal wear. How dare these lesser people go to the games in shorts and t-shirts instead of upholding the tradition of a three piece suit!

I don't define people by empty gestures.
So if a pedophile takes his hat off for the anthem, is he all good? That's even easier than asking Jesus for forgiveness! Neat-O!Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -

Again... this debate isn't about respecting the tradition- people have said they comply. This discussion is centred on why the f**k we do it. Some traditions make no sense. It's okay to discuss them when they appear to make no sense.
I was opposed to Kap kneeling during the national anthem. I'll always get out of my seat and respect the anthem of any country I'm in for better or worse. I'm just wondering why the cap is necessary as well?"My brain's a good brain!"0 -
