    The Perfect Storm
I love this movie. I've seen it at least a dozen times.

I tried reading the book, but it was a little too dry for me at the time I was reading it.
This is a true story, yet everybody dies at the end, so  how true is it?

It's not. The book is quite different from the movie- it may or may not be more accurate.

The author pieced together what he could given what they knew (from all correspondence) and tried to tell the story.

i was originally thinking it might not be great but there were at least 4-5 times where i laughed so hard it hurt. and when that happens it becomes instantly re-watchable(at a later date/time). good flick

  • A Street Cat Named Bob

I posted about this in the cat thread and maybe the book thread as well.  Anyway this is a true story based on the book of the same name about how a cat pretty much saved a guy from England.  Followed the book very well.  Also the actor, Luke Treadaway, who played the main guy is apparently an Eddie Vedder fan.  Bob the actual cat from the book plays himself in the movie. Movie's on nextflix

  • Eerie... here's that guy and his cat I spoke about.

I told him I had talked about him and his cat and asked if I could take a picture to share.

That cat and him have been together for over six years. Smokey is the cat (I think if I recall correctly).

    Pretty cool relationship.

    Life (2017)

I have never seen a space movie that bleak before.
There was also a somewhat significant disappointment fairly early in movie that surprised me. I can't say what it is because it would be a spoiler, but those who saw would probably know what I mean.
It's just okay. The tension is maintained well anyway. I don't like the lighting of the movie. It's too visually dark, to the point where I felt it was really unrealistic that astronaughts would be working in such dim conditions. They obviously did that to set up a mood (a bleak one!), and i guess that worked, but it didn't ring true. It's a watchable movie that is somewhat intriguing I guess, but I expected more.

Between this and The Bye Bye Man, I've met my quota for shitty horror movies for awhile.
