Could be a blessing in disguise. Since the new director will close the investigation, the Senate may pick it up. So far they've been okay letting Comey run it. Probably not anymore. This means less police work and more hearings, subpoenas, etc. It's possible (not probable) that this actually accelerates it.
It also gives Democrats another issue for 2018.0 -
