    I'm not surprised by this at all.
    The people who are afraid of culture  change are afraid of an America that isn't mostly or even all white.
    But it's  too late.
    Already in California Caucasians are a cultural minority.  Eventually, in a few generations, America  will be tan. No white people,  no brown peole, no yellow people,  just tan people. 
    The thought of this makes the people who are afraid of "Cultural change " crazy.
    Sucks to be so closed-minded.

    Actually that's not true.  To work in the WH, you typically go through a much more thorough assessment conducted by lawyers and investigators.  It's deeper than what is required for even Top Secret clearance.  I don't believe it's mandated by statute, but it's generally accepted practice.

    I think Hugh has it right. The Atlantic, in an article right after Trump's Inaugural Address where he read Bannon's and Miller's America First speech said: "The phrase in itself might provide comfort for those of Trump’s supporters who have long railed against what they see as lawmakers in Washington catering to special interests, corporations, and other countries at the expense of, in their view, the American worker. " The article also gave an interesting, short history of the anti-semites in the America First Committee founded in the 1940s. From that article they also mentioned Pat Buchanan's 2000 presidential run on the Reform Party ticket where he adopted the America First slogan. At that time Trump called him "a Hitler lover". Interesting how times change.

    They were just waiting for any reason to do it, to kill momentum on the investigation.  The overstated testimony gave them cause.  Remember he was a Bush appointee.

    Comey is a jackass, but I doubt he's as big a jackass as whoever Trump appoints will be. This could be bad.... I dunno, maybe for once he'll not make the most inappropriate choice possible?

    Sounds like that hillbilly Jeff Sessions made the recommendation to Trump to shitcan Comey. Maybe Trump will appoint one of his sons to run the Bureau. I can't imagine Trump will find anyone qualified and acceptable to him who would actually want the job.

    Comey fired because of how he handled Clinton's email investigation.
    That makes sense as that was the one thing (other than all the racism) that got Trump elected.
