Gender aside, experiencing sexism can be as personal and offensive as being otherwise molested, depending on the situation.
Regardless, to demand details of such strikes me as intrusive, and a bit rude - from here, anyway. I can't imagine anyone with some semblance of empathy asking "so what happened, anyway?" of any other person who was violated in some way.
Guessing if the experience wanted to be shared, it would've been.
And who knows, maybe you'll luck out getting the full details!

Pretty sure a waiter/waitress is paid the same hourly wage, grocery clerk, etc.
When in comes to business salary is often based on qualifications and education level.
