So a conservative talking head makes fun of a politician's hair and they're labeled sexist. But a liberal talking head making fun of Trump's hair is okay and funny?
Bingo!
The hypocrisy is astounding! Basically all the things the Dems complained about over the last 8 years, they are now doing. And the republicans are complaining about them doing it, after they did it for 8 years!
Oh, and her hair does look like a James Brown wig. And Trumps hair is an awful comb-over.
Tiny hands... Orange skin....
But as soon as someone makes a joke that is spot on....it's some kind of a big deal? Please. Why can;t we focus on what really matters anymore? Why do we continue to let our politicians and the O'reilly's/Maddow's of the world determine what we should be outraged about?
it really bothers me, as you said, how people can call that an outrageous remark and it doesn't take long to find a disgusting jab at Kellyanne and somehow that's ok. the left needs to take a cue from the right: it doesn't get the outrage on the right because the right doesn't whine about it everytime someone does it. pick your battles and you might win some.

As a liberal, I think making fun of Trump's hair and hands and orange tan is really stupid, and only damages those who are fighting against his presidency. Also, not that it matters, but I can't imagine Trump with a different hair style. I think his hair suits him perfectly.

It is pretty childish to make fun of anyone's appearance.

Where was all of this faux outrage when Rushbo said on air, to his alleged 20 million daily listeners, that Chelsea Clinton looked like she had been hit in the face with a bag of nickels? When she was just a kid with braces?

of course it is. and as pjsoul stated, that is part of the problem with the tactics i've seen of many democrats. "they go low, we go high.....except when we go low, it's ok for us to do that"

there are those on both sides who like to dish it out but whine when it's served to them.

It must be mentioned, though, that this line of argument from the right doesn't make much sense. Their "folk" have a long history of insulting Dems for their appearances, so to turn around and be mad that liberals aren't mad about their own doing it but are mad when the right does it... well, it's an absurdity. Either everyone should stop doing it, or everyone should shut the fuck up, and accept that it's going to happen because people are jerks in general, lol. Getting mad about people not getting mad about what they have been mad about before, for things that they've done themselves ... I mean, it's ridiculous.

Specifically on the right? I distinctly remember the right cheering it on and laughing about it.It, at the time, was a new low as previously the kids of elected representatives of government were hands off for personal attacks, of any kind.

I don't know who from. It was easy to call as just damn mean. And anyhow this is what I'm talking about. "They did it first and I hated it then so I'm going to use that as an excuse to do the same shit"!
I find it amusing that when the left stoops to the lower depths that the right generally practices, it's suddenly an outrage. Spare me the faux outrage. Lee Atwater and the politics of personal destruction is to blame. I've listened to eight years of personal attacks on Obama and Hillary, many of them delivered by Trump. Folks who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Shart he blows!
I find it amusing that anyone is shocked ALL; politicians are like this. HUMANS are, in general prone to sling verbal mud at one another like monkeys fling poo. We just see more of it from the political parties because of the media, and everyone's obsession with who's right, wrong, better, worse, whatever. Was any of this what this thread was even about? ( thought Kat posted a great article on overcoming sexism..) One of the most fun things about reading these boards... is watching the conversations gnarl themselves into roller coaster loops, drops, twists, turns, and sometimes fatal crash and burns that result in epic perma-bans...

I have no problem with making fun of Trump. Then again, I'm Green Party and not democrat. It's so freeing to be equal opportunity instead of being an oligarchy hypocrite.

Not that we haven't been over this a ton of times, but it is public knowledge that the Clintons got so rich namely via speaking engagements and book deals. The rest just through plain old investments (probably very well-informed ones, obviously). Their personal finances have been gone through with a fine toothed comb and everything seems on the up and up. Their wealth is the opposite of a mystery.

That isn't sexist or racist. They are just useless.

I feel like that was just more evidence of his mental problems. Talk about a weird little moment. I'd feel sorry for Pence if he wasn't such a shit-eating homophobe.
A friend of mine is a lawyer for the elderly. All the "idiosyncrasies" (for lack of better word) that Trump exhibits are the exact same signs his clients experience in the early stages of dementia.
All of which was vetted, the State Department with Congressional oversight for the nuclear deal and the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton's, regularly by the IRS. Hillary released 20 years of tax returns during the campaign but Trump still hasn't released his. Why? Funny how she and Bill aren't in jail yet. Another of Trump's broken campaign promises. Right up there with Mexico's paying for the wall, "I have a secret plan to defeat ISIS" and coal jobs are coming back.

Yup. I worked with someone who was going through this (he recently finally retired). A lot of the what I saw with my colleague are things I see with Trump. My colleague's ego/pride made it so he was in constant damage control mode as well as in denial, making excuses for his slip ups, his nonsensical emails, blaming mistakes and misunderstandings on other people, losing his temper, intolerance for things that should be fine, getting overly defensive, etc, etc. Very sad. Combine Trump's obvious mental decline with his innate extreme assholeism, all while in the White House, and it's a recipe for disaster.
