Why aren't we more focused on the high costs of health care? We are not getting a great return on our investment here.0 -
The increase is all because insurance companies can't can't compete across state lines. Haven't you heard?0

Every western country and every western country ranking better than US has tax funded healthcare in one way or another.
But the land of the brave and the free and the weird prayers every day at school can't get to the conclusion that it's better than your shitty capitalist system."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -
Just admit you got it all wrong and correct yourself.
You're not the best country in the world. But try to better yourself. Like, in not leaving climate change agreements and not killing citizens who cant afford healthcare."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

Just received a memo from out HR department regarding our benefits. To prevent costs from going even higher, we are getting reduced coverage.
This is how it will change:
Premiums up 20% (was going to be even higher until we lowered the coverage by the following)
Dr. visit up 50%
ER visit up 50%
Medication copay up 33%
Max out of pocket up 75%
Annual Deductible up 300% Yes, three hundred!
These increases were to keep our premiums from increasing even more than the 20%.
O yeah, and we were just told that at this time no raises are being approved.
Where do those people work who claim health benefits aren't skyrocketing?
I was far better off before this mess took over.0 -
Had that same presentation from HR in 1995.0

I was far better off before this mess took over.
So I can afford to take a higher-deductible policy each year, and my premiums go down.
So I can afford to put more money into my HSA.
And the company contributes for participating in their wellness program.
At the end of the day, health insurance is costing me about $100 per month.0 -
