I'm totally with you on this my friend. PP is a bitchin' album and would really sound good on vinyl imo.smarchee said:I so wish though that Phantom Power gets the vinyl treatment one day, I love that record
I just picked up Fully today but haven't spun yet. I really hope they addressed the thinness of the bottom end that existed on the previous cd's and vinyl discs. It really needed a boost imo and hope this "remastering" addressed it. I also picked up the ltd, deluxe Fully Completely set but may keep that sealed, unless I get sick of watching heksenketel on VHS. AND I got a couple bottles of the Fully Completely Wine :>~~~~~~~Vinyl For Sale (shipping costs in North America included)~~~~~~~

Well, I just gave 'er a listen and.....I'm very disappointed. I hear nothing really different from the original. The kick drum and bass are still totally lacking in the mix, even if you crank your bass frequencies. This album could kick so much harder if the bottom end were better mixed imo ~X(~~~~~~~Vinyl For Sale (shipping costs in North America included)~~~~~~~

This is good news. Day For Night & Henhouse were never double albums - right? It looks like Day For Night is now double and Henhouse is 3 sides.HughFreakingDillon said:Day For Night, Live Between Us, and TATHH vinyl at the Hip gift shop:

You're right, Day for Night was never a double LP. I have the original, but am curious to hear reviews about the sound on the reissue when people get it. 4 sides for D4N is too many and not necessary. They should have done both albums on 3 sides if they were set on 2LPs.CJ260717 said:

I'm going to grab these but hate when they spread original albums over two LPs. I wonder if they do it just keep the first press more special? I would think it would be cheaper to manufacture it as one.0

I am 100% convinced that the 1LP to 2LP move is a scam. I hate it! I actually have yet to personally find a reissue that moved to 2 LPs that sounded better than the original on 1LP. I'm sure there are examples out there where this specific move did improve the sound, but by and large it is just a gimmick. They can make more money with 2LPs because a heavier, "more substantial" package is perceived as being worth more to the legions of totally inexperienced vinyl buyers who have come out of the woodwork in the last 3 years, and the production vs sales revenue math works in their favour. Less obsessed buyers tend to think 2LPs is better (because that's what many in the industry would have you believe). It has nothing to do with keeping the original special. Yes, I know all about spreading it out more and how that can improve sound quality .... it's just that most don't do that. They just throw a digitally sourced album onto two records instead of one and up the price by $15 or whatever. Meanwhile, our album listening experience is negatively impacted. All those record changes can disrupt the flow of an album.CJ260717 said:I'm going to grab these but hate when they spread original albums over two LPs.
