It's true, BernieBros need to realize this election was a massive repudiation of liberalism. Not just a rebuke in the short term, the consequences of a majority GOP government in all branches will be a generational setback.what dreams said:Why would anyone be so naive as to suggest that the Democrats need to shift even further to the left with Warren as the candidate to win the next election? Do any of you know anything about how politics work? The progressive movement, already on its death's door, has been decapitated with this election. Warren can't save it.
It's not about Trump and this one election. Conservatives -- the really hard core ones -- have succeeded at infiltrating every level of government from the state governors' mansions to the federal Supreme Court after a generation of slow, steady plotting while nobody was even looking. This really was *the* election to win. It's done for us for at least another generation. Maybe when the freaking millenials actually grow up and learn some things about how government works, they'll take it back, but damn do they have a lot to learn before that happens.
For now, we're stuck with the Paul Ryans of the world who were groomed as Young Republicans 25 years ago by Newt Gingrich, et. al, with a copy of Ayn Rand's Fountainhead under their arms. That shit worked. Look at us now. Where we are today can be traced back one election at a time since 1990. Google it and you will understand what I know to be true.
BernieBros thought that Trump couldn't win so they set out to tear down the only chance they had at maintaining progress that was always tenuous.
You BernieBros are Icarus, and you brought everyone down with you.

There is no way to know for sure that Sanders would have won. This morning I tend to think he would have, but it's far from a sure thing. We never saw what Trump and the Republicans going after him full-time looked like. We never saw Socialism become a buzz word in the campaign. We don't know what skeletons they may have found in his closet. At the same time, he didn't share Clinton's historic negatives. He wasn't the subject of an active FBI investigation. And he wouldn't have suffered from the enthusiasm gap that killed her in the end.___________________________________________

Getting Hillary voters out meant getting more Democrats elected down ballot. With more Hillary voters, we had a chance at the Senate, which would have put Bernie in charge of the budget, THE MOST POWERFUL SEAT IN CONGRESS. Sorry you fools are so God damned blinded to see that.Free said:

the best thing about Trump winning is that "experience" card is basically thrown out the window ... never believed in it anyways but at least now we can say it's irrelevant ...

The field is open, anyone can run ... just that the democrats and republican seem to have a strangle hold on the system and they do this by outspending everyone in an election...basically controlling the elections because they essentially work for the special interest who donate millions and millions...Free said:Forget Dems, open up field and allow 3rd party candidates!
