PJ meets with Hillary

I think Unsung may be frustrated that the band gave up on supporting the best candidate based on their views and just supporting whoever isn't a Republican. More of an integrity thing.josevolution said:So what I'm happy that the band is meeting with her ! How does it feel that the band you like does not share at all your political views ...

Right, and if Bernie had won the nomination (that would have been wonderful), I'm sure they'd have attended his fundraiser instead of Hillary's. Point is, they are pretty obviously democrats, at least for the time being.tonifig8 said:

Low quality troll post.tonifig8 said:Ed was for Bernie- I'm guessing he's now for her because the other option is Trump. It's disappointing that he would support such a terrible individual (hrc). Apparently he's turning a blind eye like many so-called progressives around here
Ed speaking some truth. He also sings something about Bernie in a song. I'll look it up when I get to my Pchttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=n5Qjv4iU5r8

I think it is totally legitimate and totally natural to consider the political views of a band that is political. I actually don't understand those who think the two can be separated at all. I don't think you can really separate the two with some bands, and PJ is one of those bands IMO. I know that some do indeed just ignore everything to do with politics when it comes to PJ.... which means they kind of close their minds to a lot of their best songs and the passions behind those songs. To me, that is strange. I know I wouldn't listen to some band that sings songs that support right wing politics and philosophies... of course, who wants to listen to music about how great restricting abortion rights, drug testing welfare recipients, and lowering taxes for the rich because of how effective trickle-down economics is??JC29856 said:
Doesn't make their music any less but I think some can question the lyrics and the passion about certain subjects. Does that make their music any less good? So odd.
I wonder if Kurt was onto something I wonder if he would have evolved towards Ed or remained like Morello.Music and art in general seems to lend itself to the left wing because most artists are left wing ... I suppose that is unfortunate for right wingers, but there isn't much you can do about it.

Gave up on supporting the best candidate? But Bernie isn't a candidate anymore, so there really isn't much point in continuing to support him. And beyond that, looking at third party candidates, who are we to decide how they may view who is the best candidate?bootlegger10 said:

That makes no sense since Bernie isn't in the race. So how exactly did they give up on him? Can't support someone who isn't running.bootlegger10 said:

The Rock n Roll hall of fame is no achievement...it's a complete JOKE...I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... George Carlin

It's there money and apparantley a free country so they can go and support whoever they choose. Everyone might want to reconsider claiming your anti-war if you support either a republican or democrat, or at least the facts indicate that neither party is a party of peace...I have certain rules I live by ... That means zero. If she increases military spending, that is a far cry from being war loving. Come on. Trump is the one saying he's going to bomb the shit out of an ideology. She's been talking about diplomacy.HughFreakingDillon said:Free said:

It's odd. I was one of the first in the fan club. The excitement that they brought. Chills.
I find myself drifting further and further away.
Wish they'd stick to the music.
Kind of tough these days to find bands that don't sell out in some fashion.
Why is it selling out? The band is passionate about not having a war loving woman hating buffoon machine in office. As many of us are. The current system gave the US these two candidates. It is imperative the correct one is chosen.
https://www.publicintegrity.org/2016/04/01/19496/defense-contractor-employees-give-most-money-hillary-clintonDemocratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton has collected more than any other candidate in the 2016 race from employees tied to the 50 largest contractors with the U.S. Department of Defense — at least $454,994 in campaign funds over a 14-month period ending in February.
She loved war in Libya and the US is at war in Iraq right now.
