You seem to forget Eds best friend was a republican, Johnny Ramone.JC29856 said:just further ruins 5 years of bootlegs for me plus a few dvds, especially the seattle showbox warm-up
Take the high road ffs. You might as well throw all your Ramones, ZZ Top, Aerosmith and Metallica albums away with that petty attitude. You might as well toss Bob Dylan albums and say free speech doesn't apply to famous people to avoid being a hypocrite.Post edited by InHiding80 on0 -

Gleaning from what he said about his feelings after the Bush election and his support of Nader, I figure he's gone mainstream for the long haul, or at least in any situation where votes going to a third party could cause a worst-case scenario, which is obviously the case now. Sounds to me like he's not willing to make that mistake again.InHiding80 said:I was kind of hoping Ed would endorse Jill Stein.

It's odd. I was one of the first in the fan club. The excitement that they brought. Chills.
I find myself drifting further and further away.
Wish they'd stick to the music.

I don't know if it's fair to pile on unsung about his (her?) disappointment. I just had a daydream about PJ stepping up and supporting Trump. I'm pretty sure I'd turn off the band if that happened. I'd be too disgusted, and I would lose all respect for them as human beings. I guess I can imagine that unsung is feeling a bit like that now. Of course, the difference is that this move is completely predictable and obvious, whereas if they turned around and supported Trump it would be absolutely shocking. So maybe the timing of unsung's disappointment is really really late. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

Not surprising but id love it if they spoke out against both candidates. Two corporate scumbags, both filled with hate and fakeness.0

This is what I was hoping for too, that they would see past the façade.cp3iverson said:Not surprising but id love it if they spoke out against both candidates. Two corporate scumbags, both filled with hate and fakeness.
It is kind of typical that they would do this, but to actually give money to attend Hillary's fundraiser? Shoot me.0 -
Ed was for Bernie- I'm guessing he's now for her because the other option is Trump. It's disappointing that he would support such a terrible individual (hrc). Apparently he's turning a blind eye like many so-called progressives around here0

Kind of tough these days to find bands that don't sell out in some fashion.0 -

No, it's not unexpected that the band leans left or is. It is unexpected that they would endorse someone that will continue if not escalate George W Bush foreign policy. At least with Obama he kind of sold things hook line and sinker, there's no mistaking that Clinton wants more war.0 -
Kind of obvious I put quotes on it so others knew it wasn't my opinion, but how I perceive others' opinion on the matter.unsung said:

Why is it selling out? The band is passionate about not having a war loving woman hating buffoon machine in office. As many of us are. The current system gave the US these two candidates. It is imperative the correct one is chosen.

I just figured that if they strongly supported Obama, the logical assumption would be that they support Clinton since their view points and planned policies are pretty much the same if you're painting it with a big brush. Plus the Trump factor and the lesson learned from Nader.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful.
