I was a mess! I was working last night during the game, driving my semi. As the game went on, my 600 mile ride was just pure torture! Not only were the Cubs done, but I had convinced myself they were losing game 5 too.

    I was a mess. Haha

Hang it there, Speedy. WE got this!!!
2016 is going down in history!!!!!!

EDIT: oh shit, I just cursed us.

did any of you happen to catch that documentary on the Cubs that came on FS1.
I saw the last bit of it this morning while looking for highlights of last night.
They had footage of Ed playing "All the Way" from Wrigley this year. they interviewed some awesome Chicago personalities including Steve Stone. it was surprisingly good. I think it was called "Confessions of a Cubs Fan"

    Awesome win!
  • Anybody know when the Cubs are notifying the "winners" of the drawing for the chance to purchase NLCS tickets?

Has to be today or tomorrow right?
Nothing for me, yet. Been checking way too often, lol.

    I plead the 5th.
Oh my lord was I angry last night. At one point I was hoping during the off-season someone and everyone burned Wrigley Field to the ground. Then I was hoping Ricketts moved the team to Florida.
Ha, I mean after everything we've been through who could blame us? Florida? Thankfully that won't happen cause Rachel Phelps isn't our owner!

I didn't even watch the game. I knew I couldn't handle it. I even turned the notifications off on my phone after the 5th inning. Just wanted to smoke a bowl, fall asleep watching Netflix, and hope I woke up to a damn miracle.

THEN... for whatever reason, I decided to check my phone as I was laying on the couch. I shit you not, the exact moment I checked is when Zobrist doubled in the 9th. Two runners in scoring position, down 2, no one out. Ok, you got my attention Cubbies. I couldn't stop refreshing my Yahoo app fast enough after that!!

Alright, since you admitted it.........I fell asleep on the couch in the 7th inning. woke up sometime around 1am to the glorious highlights and celebration. Monday night kicked my ass.......and yes I missed the Bartman shit too. I was outside smoking a cig. so what does this mean? should I quit watching the rest of the postseason?????????

Monday afternoon I got a pack of peanut M&M's for a midday snack. Would you believe it; there wasn't a god damn blue M&M in the entire pack and 2/3's of the fucking things were orange! Needless to say, I stayed the fuck away from M&M's yesterday!

Dude, someone bought me Cubs M&Ms for my birthday back in 2010. I kept those things until 2012 thinking that if I ate them then I would curse the team. those bastards tasted good.......... #fuckthecurse!!!

Any idea when the game times will be announced?

Sat and Sunday will be 7 or 730 starts.
Al gm sat will be mid afternoon
Tues or Wed may be mid afternoon but only 1 would be. (Al/nl will flip, 1 day al 3 nl 7, other day nl 3 al 7)
    Thur 7pm
Sat 3pm if alcs goes 7, 7pm if alcs done
    Sun 7pm

This is how past seasons have gone. However last yr every cubs mets nlcs gm was primetime and on dsys the al and nl played the alcs was mid afternoon. Guessing chi ny media markets vs tor kc factored in. Clev tor isn't big either so who knows. Chi wsh might not get all primetime but i could see chi la.

I still can't believe that we pulled out the win last night.

How would people rather face in the NLCS - Nats or Dodgers?

    I'd rather face the Dodgers.
