    September '14 Given To Live took someone to a show for the first time.

    Kayleigh is a young carer, looks after her younger sister who has a life limiting illness. Mum has physical issues and depression and dad has mild autism. Kayleigh is a huge Foo Fighters fan so we took her to see their show at the Invictus Games in London and managed to fix up for her to meet the band.

    Like so many carers Kayleigh comes last but gets a ton of praise for being so helpful etc. At GTL we aim to make everyone's day special. No matter who you are or where you've been everyone deserves a day in the sun; to be valued, seen. Not because you've a learning difficulty, a physical illness, PTSD, depression, you're in a wheelchair. Not because of your difference but simply because you're you.

    A few weeks ago GTL took a young man to see Dragonforce at Bloodstock Open Air festival. Warren is 28, lives in supported housing due to mental health issues and was fostered as a boy.

    Warren plays guitar but for a while his mental health issues got in the way of playing. After meeting his hero Herman LI, the lead guitarist, he's started playing again and Given To Live has committed to supporting Warren further both with his playing and supporting the healing of his mental health issues.
