    Finally after 18 years I landed the poster from my first show. Here it is freshly framed Boston / Mansfield 1998!

    This one looks cool. I will check them out
    They do a quality job. Just be prepared - apparently wood reclaimed from old barn doors is expensive. Looks cool as hell though.

    Figured as much. I want old reclaimed wood for my Moline but I cant cough up a ton of cash. Either way, they are down the street and it doesnt hurt to check it out

    Got my Hampton frame job done. Had to add a bunch of stuff to take the focus off the poster since it doesn't do much for me. I got 1 of the MM white picks at the show and purchased the other so I could frame both sides. Cousin got the black one, so I picked one of those up to frame as well. Met a great group of people in the GA line whom I still keep in touch with. Got some great shots of Mike from my spot to put in there as well.

    Need some opinions from people who've done this a lot. I got some frames and mattes online for a few posters last week. Turns out I'm now finding out (thanks to a friendly person here) the mattes are not acid free, nor is the backer. I asked the place in question about this (http://www.arttoframe.com) and they said while they do have 3 color mattes that are acid-free, the rest are not acid free. They then went on to say it will not matter for posters. Here is their transcript:

    Is this guy full of crap? Do I need to get acid free mattes and backers, or does that not matter for posters? FWIW - I have 2 primary concerns, my new Cracker Jack poster (which is on an smooth, but uncoated stock) and the Wrigley Faile print, which is on a coated stock. I'm not sure if coated or not matters in regards to this.

    Thanks guys. Well this is going to suck. I guess I'll take my 2 framed posters to Hobby Lobby, and see how much they'll charge me to replace the matte and backer, as well as remount the posters.

    Did this myself using American frame. Very happy with it! I may actually take it apart again to tweak the spacing on the two mattes but for now I'm so happy to have it framed and out of the file!!

    Do you have to cut the hole in the mat yourself or does it come pre-cut?

    I had to measure and they sent them to me cut along with the acid free backing, uv and antiglare glass and hardware to clip it in. I got the acid free corner mounts from Michaels (they stick to the matte and the poster slips in so no adhesive on the poster. I should clarify too that American frame was out of stock on the frame I wanted so I actually got the frame itself from pictureframes.com.
