    Has anyone else noticed that Godfather has been quiet lately especially with what is going on?

    Obama just commuted the sentences of 214 people serving federal time, mostly for non-violent drug offenses. Good work, Obama! 69 of them were serving life sentences, which was ridiculous to begin with. Many of them are African Americans who got caught in the ill-advised crack vs. powder cocaine sentencing nonsense that used to exist. That brings Obama's total to 562, and he apparently isn't done yet. I'm always happy when rationality prevails. Non-violent drug offenders should be offered treatment, not thrown in prison for the rest of their lives.

    The civil war in Yemen is more of a proxy war by the US, given that the Saudis are annihilating the country with weaponry primarily provided by the US. Hell, even the planes that drop bombs regularly on Yemeni territory are refuelled and serviced exclusively by the US.
