Guess Hammel was pissed with the early pull yesterday by Joe. Article on mlbtrade rumors states Cubs have control if they want him next yr if he pitches less than 200 innings but if he pitches 200 innings Cubs have him next yr at $12 mil I believe. It'd be wise to make sure he doesn't reach 200 innings.

Haha for sure..those guys didn't last too long on the cubs or in MLB I don't think. Rumor was Walton was getting it on with rynos wife...
Yea, I remember that. He actually was a good player. I think Sandberg said he'd come back if Walton was gone.
Sandberg never left while Walton was there. Walton signed as a FA with the Angels in the 92/93 offseason. Ryno retired mid 94 and returned in 96.
    Which guy was it? Palmeiro?
Yes the rumor was always Palmiero and Rynos wife.
    Actually the rumor was...

    EVERYONE and Rynos wife.

That's what I was going to say. I believe I heard rumors that Dave Martinez was a part of that as well, and those interactions led directly to us getting rid of Martinez and Palmiero.

Why it was even a close game is beyond me. LAD starting pitcher had an ERA above 9 going into the game. We've made guys with skyscraper ERA's look like damn Cy Young contenders all freakin season. Thank god we can actually hit good pitching.

3 opportunities now with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Can't fucking score ONE of those three times?!

Great come from behind win last night. Although arrieta looked awful. He needs to right his ship. It's starting to become concerning.

I think he'll be ok. Not dominating like last year but still very solid. It was just a recent start he went 8 strong 2 hit ball...

Can't believe they won..chalked it up as a loss when I went to bed in the 8th...

He didn't look great. That being said, if the ump doesn't completely bone him on 2 straight strike 3 calls, his line would be much different.

Great win. Stayed up to watch. Now I'm paying for it at work.

Where was your seat, Dimi? I was in the center field bleachers. You got to see a great game, that's for certain!
