I thought he already was responsible.EdsonNascimento said:More police killed in Baton Rouge. At what point is he responsible for what's happening in this country?
After all he's to blame for everything that has ever gone wrong in this country. Going back to and including the Jamestown massacre.

This sounds very far fetched to me, Edson, but I know you're a smart guy so I won't jump to conclusions but rather would like to know how/why you came to this conclusion?EdsonNascimento said:More police killed in Baton Rouge. At what point is he responsible for what's happening in this country?

Really? Please elaborate. How did Obama cause this? Because he said Trayvon Martin could have been his kid? This definitely needs clarification.EdsonNascimento said:More police killed in Baton Rouge. At what point is he responsible for what's happening in this country?

Perhaps chalk it up to a glitch which is par for the course on these boards. PM the mods if you're worried. And honestly, your post up there came across as accusatory vs true concern for the panicky avatar / can't message situation. Apologies if I misconstrued that as snarkiness.PJfanwillneverleave1 said:

I understand how snarkiness can be thought of in a post.hedonist said:

Obama just commuted the sentences of 214 people serving federal time, mostly for non-violent drug offenses. Good work, Obama! 69 of them were serving life sentences, which was ridiculous to begin with. Many of them are African Americans who got caught in the ill-advised crack vs. powder cocaine sentencing nonsense that used to exist. That brings Obama's total to 562, and he apparently isn't done yet. I'm always happy when rationality prevails. Non-violent drug offenders should be offered treatment, not thrown in prison for the rest of their lives."I'll use the magic word - let's just shut the fuck up, please." EV, 04/13/080

Poor little kid, that's awful. But why have you posted that in this thread? What do you think Obama has to do with this child, good or bad? He seems to be the victim of the civil war in Yemen.... No mention of Obama in that article I don't think.JC29856 said:Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. The civil war in Yemen is more of a proxy war by the US, given that the Saudis are annihilating the country with weaponry primarily provided by the US. Hell, even the planes that drop bombs regularly on Yemeni territory are refuelled and serviced exclusively by the US.PJ_Soul said:

And this starving kid is apparently starving because "Houthi fighters and their allies are blocking the delivery of desperately needed humanitarian supplies". I think it is a real stretch to blame this on Obama specifically.benjs said:
