Ed will be there.Along with numerous special guests I'd imagine. This is a big deal.
Watch PJ twenty again.Watch how TOTD forged Ed and Chris relationship.Listen to what they say about Andy.
Really it's not Temple without Eds contributions now is it? Also if many MLB songs are to be sung Ed(Chloe Dancer)for example is clearly the better vocal choice for that material.

I sure hope you are right. But I wouldnt be upset if he wasnt.

I saw Chris Cornell in concert last night in Edmonton. Loved it! So impressed by the way he can fill the theatre simply with his voice and his guitar, accompanied by an amazing cellist. He sang Say Hello to Heaven, Wooden Jesus and Hunger Strike and the latter sounded great without any need for a duet. If Eddie does the tour that will be wonderful but if not, Chris has it covered.

I doubt Ed is gonna be part of the tour, but anything is possible I suppose. I don't think promoters would allow them to not mention him in the press release if he was gonna be at every show. I think he'll pop up at a show, but people expecting him at all of them are gonna be disappointed imo.
It IS TOTD without Ed's contributions. His co-lead on Hunger Steike is no doubt epic, but the album was already being planned before anybody knew who he was.
Couldn't disagree more with the last part either. Ed does tear up Crown, but for most of the other material, Cornell's wail is much closer stylistically to Andy.
The whole tour is beyond amazing for fans of the Seattle scene, but I think people are overestimating just how big it is to the general public.

Do the promoters care if they mention Ed or not? 5 cities. Pretty much a no brainer that it will b a tough ticket.
I could understand Ed not being there, but at the same time it would be a little dissapointing. His contribution was relatively small to the whole album, but the song he contributed most on, is one of the most epic songs on the album. To see Cornell/Vedder duet the song, would be priceless.
I'm not banking on Ed being there, and it will be awesome regardless.
But I wouldn't be surprised if he was..... It's the 25th anniversary of both bands, I think there will be more than just The 5 core guys (again, if that's all there is, I will be well satisfied..... I'm also psyched to be going to the first night in Philly..... The anticipation of not knowing what to expect is awesome.)
My hopes aren't up for Eddie to be there, it will be awesome if he is, it will still be awesome if he isn't.
River of Deceipt however...... I will almost certainly be moved to tears if I ever hear McCready play this live. & after the whole Seattle Symphony show, yeah..... My hopes are up to hear this song in Philly. Hearing TOTD play their album will be worth the 6 hour drive & price of admission, but I can't help but have my goes up for ROD.
I don't expect Ed to be there. He is not named in the press release like others have mentioned previously. His role is basically a duet on Hunger Strike so I doubt he is going to show up for 1 song (other than maybe Seattle). That is just my gut reaction.
What no one seems to be mentioning in this thread is the ..

What some forget is that maybe Ed is a fan and wants to see the songs played so will be in the building. I could see him join for Hungerstrike/ Crown of Thorns/ Cover Song.

Didn't Chris Cornell hang out all weekend to play a half hour each night at AV? Would it be out of the question for Ed to travel a bit to do more of the same? It's not like he'd have to suffer with going to anywhere in the middle of the country....
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
