Man I just woke up and it is hot. Got it I think with some rest of me brain *Rock On* has to the song. I don't know who sang it but that's the damn song. *......prettiest girl I've ever seen, Jimmy Dean* a very weird song but it was stuck somewhere in the recesses of me brain. :smiles:

I'll get back our question of the day with all the killings later I must get a haircut at 5pm sharp.

Good gawd! I know that song of course but never knew it was Def Leppard. Learn something new every day. Thanks G!

  • Here is nice quote that I think is a great question.
All beings tremble before violence. All fear death, all love life. See yourself in others, then whom can you hurt?"

They did that song? Last time I checked, it was a hit for Michael Damien in 1989 and on the bonus disc of Smashing Pumpkins greatest hits.

It was a hit long, long before Damien in 89. David Essex originally wrote and recorded it in 1973.

Yes that's the song even my younger sister remembers me singing song cause she knew I was in big trouble. I don't what Brian was talking about with Def Lepperd. I told ya the song was weird or stood out......there's hardly any guitar or bass.

So I went to my barber and we talked about the recent shootings. He was saying these shootings against police was going to continue. I was like what you talking about.....he said it will continue to the point where marshal law will be declared. I told him you must be crazy.......but on a side note could something like that be declared if tragedies like in Dallas continues?

^^^ Good question, G, and an unsettling prospect.

A customer came in the store and asked if we had the new book about people hating cop. I told him we are all used and hadn't seen anything like that recently. He kind of grunted and walked out. I sincerely felt sorry for the guy. He looked depressed and angry. I wondered what he was thinking, how he felt, what his take on things were.

I did some research on that book and found indications that it sounds rather divisive. One article seems to infer that it goes so far as to blames Obama for what is going on (sounds familiar?)

So my question is, Why are so many so rigorously trying to make everything so (excuse the expression) black and white? Why such great effort to divide us? And what can be gained from that?

Why when no one can speak they point you towards music?

Why do some come off as an ass at times?

    Who knows.

I can get on board with music saying / reflecting what we're unable to at the moment.

Shit, anyone who loves music would get that...I think.

But I read it as, "Why do some come off as an ass hat at times?"

    Well, same difference.

An ass with or without a hat is still an ass, at least to me. But give him a fedora or ten-gallon one. Decoration.

Glad you got a laugh out of what I said / meant.

^^^ Not THAT'S funny! No way would my black cat Annie let any dog butt get near her head! Our store cat, Edward, on the other hand, is a Russian Blue- looks a lot like the one pictured above. They seem to be a very tolerant breed. I accidentally stepped lightly (thank goodness) on Edward today and he just kind of looked up at me and did a cat groan like, "Watch it there, bubba."

Yes he went on to say with the president declaring marshal law he continues as president until the declaration is lifted. I looked at him to say what have you been smoking and where could he have gotten that idea. The recent uprise in shootings with police is certainly on people's minds I've never seen anything like this with such unrest. Maybe the looting in the 1977 blackout in NYC, it had to be in the billions in that destruction.
