    b/c i would think it's not only the bands/music...but also the album and/or poster artwork they are paying tribute to as well. i love seeing artistic influence, even blatant tribute/homage to a particular artist.

    In the same way that Pearl Jam pays homage to the bands/artists that inspire them and paved the way for rock and roll (both through covers and through many of their original songs with either musical or lyrical references) AMES is referencing the same bands, but also referencing some classic poster/album art that no doubt has influenced them in the art that they create.

    If people have a problem with this, then they should have a problem with Pearl Jam playing Reign Over Me or Rockin' in the Free World.

    I'm loving this homage! Usually, I DO prefer Klausen prints, but this is definitely a sweet idea that Ames is doing. Me likey!

    Paying tribute to those who came before. It happens in every walk of life, why should posters be different?

    I think this round of posters has been extraordinary. They have really outdone themselves.

    i know it's a common idea/theme...i've just never read it worded just like that. i like it. hmmmm...know the song and the album, guess it's been awhile. wish a visual artist had said it tho. haha. :p still a great quote!

    To be clear - I am in no way insinuating plagiarism, etc. I posted the Liam image to draw an interesting parallel between the Bonnaroo image and the Liam poster.
