don't gimme no wrote:How the FUCK do you know they charge two extra bucks? That's so goddamn ignorant for you to turn it around like that. So they donate $2 per show, whether or not they raised ticket prices by exactly $2 is meaningless. The fact is we still buy them and the money goes to Pearl Jam. They choose to donate it locally because....drum roll please......Pearl Jam cares about us.
The tickets clearly state this fact."I'd like to thank all you mother fuckers. All you mother fuckers..." EV-10/03/050 -

I just don't like the way that they word the tickets. It's like hey, we're only charging $49 for this show and making you pay $2 to a charity that you know nothing about and may not support. I would rather they had a charity table set up in the venues where we can donate instead."I'd like to thank all you mother fuckers. All you mother fuckers..." EV-10/03/050 -

I can't take it anymore, i was reading this topic and finally can't take it no more. what band does anyone know that doesn't wanna make money along with their music??????? It's how they make a living, My girlfriend and here mom just paid $150 a ticket for madonna, look at what the WHO are charging, why because they need MONEY! the music is great but would any band just make music as their career just because. They need to get paid and deserve it, they have changed alot of peoples lives and for that they should be thanked!!!!Go Birds!!!!0

don't gimme no wrote:I kind of agree with you here. I think the best solution would be to just not spell it out on the ticket. I'll be honest, I've gone to three shows this tour and only looked at the ticket to get my seat locations. But I think it's a bit silly to spell it out on the ticket. Either that or just keep it all silent because I imagine there are people who would even still get bent out of shape knowing there money is going to help kids or homeless folks.
I have no issues with donating to charity. I don't want to look like I do. I don't mind paying the extra cash. I did see a sign up in Detroit I believe that at least said what the night's charities were."I'd like to thank all you mother fuckers. All you mother fuckers..." EV-10/03/050 -

How much are The Who charging this time? I thought about joining their new club but it's $59 and they don't promise great seats."I'd like to thank all you mother fuckers. All you mother fuckers..." EV-10/03/050 -
Okay, so does anyone know if the 10c is taking this kids tix away or what?
He clearly has broken the rules, so it should be a no-brainer!
Anyone know?
Peace

He also claimed that he was only selling them on eBay to make sure the "biggest fan" got the tickets and that he's actually only charging face value for them. He said "check my feedback in a few days to prove it." Well, maybe he panicked and made the buyer agree to saying something like that in his feedback. I did kinda feel bad for the guy if he's telling the truth about his medical condition and bills but still....a million other ways to make money, right?0 -
