Typical liberal fan base. Let's support the small mom and pop shop, let's support the average worker, etc..... Then it comes time to pay the premium and they go to Amazon or Wal-Mart like everyone else.0

I am pretty sure most of us completed the 10C survey that was sent out a few months back. I would be very curious to see the results. There were specific questions such as "would you be willing to spend a higher price on a higher quality, locally sourced product?". My bet is many in the fan base said yes.Zod said:

Here we have a collective of people who almost universally support a living and/or minimum wage and demand for things to made locally. Yet when it comes to payment time to support "6 local businesses and it's employees" most of you scream bloody murder. These boxes are craftsmanship and take a small team to produce. If you want things made in america and a living wage for those who produce these things then recognize/accept what it costs. This is someone's livelihood.

The mom and pop shop locally made is going to last for years....I'd pay a premium to keep local business going any day!bootlegger10 said:Typical liberal fan base. it amazes me that people will complain about the prices of a handmade wooden crate but will pay unreal prices for a damn sticker.Post edited by mcgruff10 onI'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

I'm sure responders only had visions of RTI pressed reissues dancing in their head when they answered.

I think people bitch just to hear themselves bitch.....if you don't wanna pay the price asked then don't.....do people go to stores and bitch about merch there being too high?mcgruff10 said:it amazes me that people will complain about the prices of a handmade wooden crate but will pay unreal prices for a damn sticker.

I don't think political views have anything to do with that type of mentality. I know people with very far right views who complain that nothing is made in America and that other countries are taking away everyone's jobs, but shop exclusively at Wal-Mart because it's an "all-American" kind of place.bootlegger10 said:Typical liberal fan base. Yep. For a box. And using that same logic, buying a poster is spending $25 on a thick sheet of paper.RoleModelsinBlood31 said:

Exactly. It's a 100 dollars not a million.KC2917 said:The folks on here never cease to amaze me. It's $100, big deal. Maybe that's a more significant amount to some people than it is to others, but let's not forget we're talking about A FUCKING HOBBY here. It's not like Ed bought the rights to a life saving AIDS drug and jacked the price up 5000%! A little perspective around here from time to time wouldn't hurt.
It's a fucking wood box. Buy it or don't.0 -
With "2016" in the item title, I'm guessing they may do another one next year (different logo?).juddboz80 said:

That you were at the show of, have memories to last a lifetime from, and a neat memento to remind you of said memory. So, no, not really.KC2917 said:

But it's really to each his own on this one, I didn't buy it but others have. Seems like the overwhelming majority of posts so far have laughed at the oddity that this $100 box is, when there's no pj vinyl to even put it in it. There's thread after thread about pj vinyl reissues being requested and vault requests and so on and so forth, and they create a box.Post edited by RoleModelsinBlood31 onI'm like an opening band for your mom.0 -

...add to that list hats, posters, pins, vinyl, etc.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there's gonna be a lotta folks wishin' they were beholding one of these crates once they sell out.
I think the crates are fantastic looking and, whether or not I can afford them, appreciate 10C offering high quality, locally made materials (which the majority of questionnaire responders, and many folks bitching on this thread, most likely voted for having more of)0 -
