  • Signed. I may have got this wrong but was there not some shop set up for fan club members last time? Opened up a couple of days before the show and sold only to fan club members for a few hours. It think it was in a hotel in Chicago.

The merch situation has gotten out of control...
Doing a poster pre-sale for 10 Club members would be a GREAT benefit!!

Great idea! The Wrigley merch situation from a few years ago was terrible. There has to be a better way to go about this.
  • some may say i'm a dreamer but
  • I support this 100%. 2013 was horrible

  • This makes so much sense. I'm also hoping for they do only 1 poster for each show. I think the multiple posters for the Wrigley and Global Citizen shows really exacerbated the merch situation.

    1) I would love to see this happen. And I can guarantee if it were done this way they would sell more posters because I personally would have paid sight unseen for what turned out to be shitty Worcester 1

I'm sure a lot of us will pay sight unseen for both Fenway and Wrigley posters. Just another reason why the pre-sale would be good.

I'm in for sight unseen on Poster, Shirt, Sticker package deal to be sent out after the show, or just a poster.....I stood in line at Wrigley last time and got shut out of everything. Shirts were sold out in my size, posters all gone (Got one via ten club after), no stickers, banners, patches.....everything gone!

    Anyway.....I'm in!

Not going to Wrigley this time around but after the joke of a setup they had last time I hope they do something different for everybody that is going.

I think you're right but it wasn't just for fan club members. For most of the shows they put a merch truck outside the venue (and the odd city they find a store to do pop up shop in). The problem is everyone can buy stuff, not just the people going to the show. The worst I've seen was Seattle 2013 where the merch truck was there a few days before the show, and every day the lineup seems like it had no end. I heard Wrigley was exponential worse than Seattle, Seattle was pretty bad.

I guess one or two trucks isn't enough to handle the lineups. People spend all day in the lineup, finally get to the front, and leave empty handed.

People want to order posters (and any other merch) online so they don't have to spend their whole day waiting in line to watch merch get sold out before they get there (and for people in GA it's awesome not having to carry around a poster for the whole show).

I experience the order posters online thing for Calgary in '09. Loved not having to carry around a poster for the whole show.

I have never been able to get a poster from any PJ show I have been to, I`ll sign.... Cincy in 2014 I actually saw them, but the line was too long and I had bud to smoke before the show.

I don't even know why anyone would bother with this. They're obviously not going to do something like this, it's a waste of time.
  • Pre-orddering online would be nice. But honestly - just make enough of the stuff to make standing in line for 5 hours for a poster unnecessary.

I work in printing and know the cost differences between having 2,000 printed and 5,000 printed isn't that great. You can always throw extras out at the end of the night if they don't sell.

Or sell them on-line in the shop after the event is over!!
