1. PJ @ Foro Sol 2. Foo Fighters 20th in D.C. 3. Bonnaroo (especially the pit for the Royal Blood and Robert Plant) 4. Rolling Stones @ Ohio Stadium 5. The Who @ Nationwide Arena

surprised at the votes for PJ in NYC. Not even in the top 5 PJ gigs this year let anyone all gigs. Awful crowd, lifeless. Best thing about it was the venue. Here's my top 4:
Gaslight Anthem at Shepherds Bush Empire, London Placebo at The Olympia in Dublin, Ireland Pearl Jam at the Maracana, Brasil Faith No More at the Roundhouse, London
various other good but not great gigs this year. The music scene seems a bit dull at present. In this weird and fucked up world where's the anger and the articulate protest?
London Wembley Arena - Oct 28, 1996; Manchester Evening News Arena - Jun 04, 2000; ; ; Cardiff Arena - Jun 06, 2000; Seattle Key Arena - Dec 09, 2002; ; London Astoria - Apr 20, 2006; Portland Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - Jul 20, 2006; Berlin Wuhlheide - Sep 23, 2006; London Wembley Arena - Jun 18, 2007; London Shepherd's Bush Empire - Aug 11, 2009; Berlin Wuhlheide - Aug 15, 2009; London O2 Arena - Aug 18, 2009; London Hyde Park - June 25, 2010; Berlin Wulheide - June 30, 2010; Alpine Valley PJ20 East Troy - Sep 03, 2011; Alpine Valley PJ20 East Troy - Sep 04, 2011; Berlin O2 Arena - July 04, 2012; Barclays Center, Brooklyn - October 18, 2013; Barclays Center, Brooklyn - October 19, 2013; San Siro, Milan - June 20, 2014; Milton Keynes - July 11, 2014; Central Park, New York - September 26, 2015; Maracana, Rio de Janeiro -November 22, 2015
There was a clear cut winner for me this year, and then a lot of very good shows that fall in line behind that I'm not sure about the order beyond the top spot.
1. Queens of the Stone Age @ Teragram Ballroom 2. Royal Blood, Florence + The Machine, AC/DC @ Coachella (my top 3 sets) 3. Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals @ Greek Theatre 4. Foo Fighters @ The Forum 5. TV on the Radio @ Theatre at Ace Hotel
Honorable Mentions: The National @ The Troubadour, Gary Clark Jr. @ Fonda Theatre, My Morning Jacket @ Mack Sennett Studios

Seriously! I had a nice elevated side stage vantage point, wieird for a small club show, but was great. And he went all out on every song! Even walked around the audience during one of them. Will definitely see them again

That Puscifer show really was remarkable wasn't it?
I don't find the music to be too accessible at first glance / listen, but the more I listen, the more in awe I am of their songwriting.
Add in the incredible stage show, and the result is one of the most remarkable live shows I've ever witnessed.
1. Shaky Knees Festival (too many great bands to name) 2. Baroness (in a room that holds 300 people extended set no opener.... ) 3. Titus Andronicus 4. Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats 5. My Morning Jacket

Grand Canyon sucked me in from the get-go as did Agostina, but the others took a bit of time to worm their way in.

Bush? Maybe generational, but there was a time no self-respecting rock fan would be caught dead at that show ; )
And probably still shouldn't be
I was trying not to judge. I remember going to a Foo Fighter show at DV8 in Seattle when they did a smaller venue tour. Part way through the show Grohl took off his top layer to reveal a white t-shirt on which he'd written BU$H in black sharpie. Pretty funny.
