    1. Chris Cornell - The Sheldon, STL
    2. Glen Hansard - The Pageant, STL
    3. Beale Street Music Festival - Memphis (Band of Horses, Flaming Lips, George Clinton, Avett Brothers, Slash, Pixies were all excellent + many more)
    4. Foo Fighters - Hollywood Casino Ampitheater, STL
    5. Avett Brothers - Red Rocks, Denver

Great year of shows. Hard to leave off Ben Harper and Loufest (Billy Idol, Avett Brothers and Ludacris was awesome!

That Beale Street Music Festival line-up looks INCREDIBLE!!
I got to see Band of Horses and Pixies this year,
but they were just outside my Top 5.
Glen Hansard & Chris Cornell did make my list!! :rock_on:
It was an awesome weekend! Also saw Wilco and surprisingly Soul Asylum was really fun! Also
met Ben from Band of Horses at the hotel. Actually two nights in a row. Had beers with him. Really down to earth cool guy. Just talked music and life. Great weekend. I guess that could have easily been my #1 but just saw Cornell last Friday in a venue that only had 700 people. It was surreal. Had to put it first.

Where was Cornell show at? I saw him in Sydney 2 weeks ago, absolutely amazing, so I can understand you moving him to #1.

That's so cool! Ben is really nice. So I saw him and had beers at the hotel the night before that played. One thing he asked is what I might wanna here. I named three songs. The next night (very late) after they played I hung about with him more. He actually stopped me! And said "Paul! We played all three of the songs! We weren't really sure what we were gonna play and you helped shape the setlist." It was kinda cool to experience that. Seemed like such a genuine dude.

By the way the songs were Laredo, Weed Party and NW apt and they did play them all. I thought it was just a coincidence for sure until I ran into him again.

Soul Asylum still bring it! Been following them as long as PJ, all the way through. New album due out in March.

    Great story Sausage king!!!

    My top 5.

All in the greater NYC area.

Thee Oh Sees - If you EVER have the opportunity to see these guys you need to. The energy is friggin amazing!!!
Blur - They were amazing live. Never thought that they would be this good.
Cortney Barnett - Though their sound didn't fit well in a big arena they still played on point and sounded great!
    Awolnation - Energy, energy energy!!!
Matt & Kim - Energy again! It's also cool to see Kim crowd walk. Great live show!

Bush? Maybe generational, but there was a time no self-respecting rock fan would be caught dead at that show ; )

Can't believe I forgot this show, but I have to amend my list:
