2016 PJ25 Tour Rumors

Oh yeah, everything is rumors at this point. But, if the rumored dates of the April/May tour are mostly true, that's 20-22 shows in just over a month. That's something they haven't done in a while. And there's no reason that they couldn't do another leg of 20-25 shows in the Midwest, West and some Canada shows after a break, where they play close to 50 North American shows this year to celebrate 25 years. Believe me, I hear ya about the shorter tours, but it's still totally possible for this band to go all out for year 25 and really make it special for us.High Fidelity 2000 said:
It is a way to celebrate but I don't see it happening at this point in the band. They do not like to do long tours and haven't for about a decade now. I would call that a rumor for sure.RP112579 said:

It would be interesting to know if that radio station has just the same infos as us and is just blowing things up or if they have different info.

MSG sound got worse?0

All the info is still surfacing from this thread. Radio stations are even picking it up. No rumors out of the South/East coast leg other than some wishiful Wrigley/fenway chatter. nothing from out west which leads to believe the tour announcement around the 1st of the year will just be the East Coast in April/May0
-
I agree but it's interesting a dj in Detroit stated on air they're playing Detroit... that has not been rumored at all, except I do think someone posted they hear pj was playing Detroit about 50 pages ago...wbutler29 said:All the info is still surfacing from this thread. if this is the PJ25 tour... that means its not the lightning bolt tour... which means even more setlist variety? (where is D with those great mind blown gifs?)
I know a lot of people really like non-album tours because of the more varying array of songs...
i guess what i'm saying, simply, is that this is going to be a great fucking tour!0 -
That makes a lot more sense now, coming from the WRIF. Was it you that mentioned hearing it on The River last week? Don't trust them one bit. Would they even play anything outside of Black or Last Kiss? 50 states, though? Not so sure about that one.Leezestarr313 said:Hubba just told me he heard on the radio (101.1 WRIF) that Pearl Jam will announce a major tour in January in support of their 25th anniversary and there will be a Detroit show. I've been saying from the get-go that this tour will be legendary if they do not need to support a new album.my2hands said:if this is the PJ25 tour... that means its not the lightning bolt tour... which means even more setlist variety? (where is D with those great mind blown gifs?)

I know we both agree on non-album tours... I love new music, but I LOVE having no clue what's coming... and this is an opportunity to go apeshit and just celebrate their entire catalog... who knows, they may even play Binaural on a random Thursday nightSVRDhand13 said:

Don't want to get down on the Detroit rumor, because I'd love another hometown show, but found this on WRIF's website, with no mention of Detroit show. Here's to hoping the dj knows more.

Interesting. I always saw it as the band's anniversary, not the one of Ten. And seemingly they got their info from where we got it too. Oh well. I know my hubs heard it because he is a big fan too and was all excitedSave Who said:Don't want to get down on the Detroit rumor, because I'd love another hometown show, but found this on WRIF's website, with no mention of Detroit show. Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue! http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/148993/please-pearl-jam-consider-a-vinyl-benaroya-hall-re-issue0 -
