I don't even know where to put this amongst all the threads regarding the 2016 tour, but I'm just disappointed that this band can't seem to announce more than 1 leg at a time & only a few months in advance, whereas other internationally renowned artists are able (& willing!) to give out all dates about 6 months in advance - or more. Yes, including bands that have members with small children.
It's my turn to book vacation for the remainder of the year. At least they're not playing 'round these parts in July, which is booked solid. So I got that going for me. I just wish I knew what weeks to target. Fall is almost 100% open for me, so I'm just gonna roll the dice, I suppose.
It's not a sob story - it's a kinda more of an annoyance story.

Gah. Decisions, decisions... We are trying to figure out if we want to go to both Wrigleys or just one. What if the PJ25 event is announced next week and it's a show at the Gorge? I love that we are talking actual tour plans, but it would have been nice to know their whole plan right away.
Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!

Try being a Springsteen fan and then complain again.
I strongly doubt we will learn anything about PJ25 before May. I think the spring tour and summer ballpark announcements came much closer than the PJ originally intended or ever wanted. We first heard rumors of the spring dates back in the fall with November being the first time it is rumored an announcement got delayed. We know from 2013 that the Wrigley announcement came right around the time of Wrigley/Fenway this year. We know from 2011 and PJ20 that the band had no problem announcing their large anniversary event in May. Prior to last fall's delay I bet the schedule for announcements looked something like this:
November: Spring 2016 NA Tour (East Coast Leg) January: Wrigley/Fenway May: Fall 2016 NA Tour (West Coast Leg/PJ25)
I'd love to be wrong and be surprised but I am not expecting any further announcement until May.

this sounds accurate to me... but will they only play 5 shows between spring and fall? i'm not so sure
Wonder how much planning went into this tour because if you look at it, its extremely dysfunctional ha
Haha, I was thinking that too. But then...I think it only looks disfunctional because we are all so close to it. If this was another band, I would not be as alerted to the most minute rumors. I would just hear, "Oh that band is touring! Maybe I can score tickets!" Then they announce another leg later in the year. Since I monitor everything, i hear bits and pieces, rumors, etc...and it all seems a bit chaotic.

There have to be more shows coming. They rarely take 2 days off between shows and the gaps in the current tour fit perfectly with some of the rumors (below). KC said they were planning something for PJ25, and I don't see them retaining their crew and storing their stage for the whole month of August for 4 shows or skipping the entire western 2/3 of the country.

I don't see buffalo happening. Two days off between countries seems appropriate.
they currently only have 5 concerts planned beyond memorial day
if i'm looking at their potential strategy for a blowout 2016 in North America... 50-60 shows... 15-20 shows in each time zone... and how to roll it out, spread it out, satisfy demand, and maximize ticket sales...
Eastern Time Zone - they are starting with announcing the spring tour (3 months advance) & stadiums (6 months advance) at the same time with both sales early in the year, where they know they will sell tickets no problem... Fenway doesn't hurt the spring tour sales because there are so many people in the eastern time zone, and they can count on the euros coming over as well for any of the above as well... they currently have 19 shows scheduled in the eastern time zone which includes 1 festival & 2 stadium shows
Central - announce and sell Wrigley first to maximize sales... there are fewer people than the eastern time zone, therefore slightly less demand, so they hold back any other central 2016 dates until Wrigley is sold out to reduce self poaching... they currently have 3 dates in the central time zone, which is 1 festival & 2 stadium shows... roll out 12-15 shows 3 months in advance of tour...
Western - they currently have zero shows scheduled... if planning a large PJ25/stadium event i assume you would stick with the strategy of announcing that 5-6 months in advance... which leave plenty of room to follow the general thinking of late summer/fall... following the trend so far of 2 stadium/1 festival, perhaps the event is 2 nights @ Safeco Field, with a festival appearance yet to be announced (Bridge School?)... roll out 12-15 shows 3 months in advance of tour

Makes sense to me. Something is going to happen on the weekend of July 8-10th at Target Field. It feels that the Twins are holding Kenny Chesney back till Pearl Jam makes up there mind. Kenny has announced his tour with dates scheduled before and after that weekend and is traveling from Pittsburg to Kansas City. He has already played that weekend 3 times selling out all 3. I could see PJ waiting till Wrigley sells out before announcing/deciding on Minneapolis.

That is the most shows they have played in a month in a long time. I think the east coast shows(outside of Boston) are done for the year.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
I am so torn I wish there would be something like PJ20 coming up. That felt like the perfect festival. Perfect size, perfect location, perfect atmosphere. I am happy I got to experience something like this at least once

Deer creek Indiana would be a gem..
I swore off Deer Creek in 2009, unless PJ played there. Found myself back there in 2010, show almost destroyed by those storms. Swore it off again. If they play there this summer, I'll be there.
